Abstract

Means which enables image conversion in which a plurality of conversion results can be output without once saving all of video-image data, which has been input from image-pickup means, in a storage medium is provided. A single line memory having a plurality of lines is used while switching the role thereof for a reading use by a video-image converting means and a use for inputting image data from the image-pickup means. The image converting means obtains an input image, which is in the line memory, and carries out conversion of the input image based on a conversion specifying means interpreted by an instruction decoder.

Claims (31)

1. An image converting system comprising two or more image converting devices, each of the image converting devices including an image input device, an image converter, and a line memory,

wherein the two or more image converting devices output conversion results to a storage medium common to each other while synchronizing with each other,

wherein each of said image converting devices converts input image in accordance with a conversion specifying means,

wherein said synchronizing is realized by providing said conversion specifying means with interrupt instructions, and

wherein said interrupt instructions are stored in said storage medium.

2. An image converting system comprising two or more image converting devices, each of the image converting devices including an image input device, an image converter, and a line memory,

wherein the image converting system further includes a video-image display,

wherein the two or more image converting devices output conversion results to the video-image display while synchronizing with each other,

wherein each of said image converting devices converts inputs image in accordance with a conversion specifying means,

wherein said synchronizing is realized by providing said conversion specifying means with interrupt instructions,

wherein said output conversion results and said interrupt instructions are stored in same storage medium.

3. An image converting system according to claim 1 ,

wherein said conversion specifying means is stored in said storage medium.

4. An image converting system according to claim 3 ,

wherein said conversion specifying means includes a command which detects the end of input of one frame.

5. An image converting system according to claim 3 ,

wherein said conversion specifying means includes a command which changes set values of said image converting devices.

6. An image converting system according to claim 5 ,

wherein said image converting devices are read line number specifying means.

7. An image converting system according to claim 3 ,

wherein said conversion specifying means includes a command indicating the end of conversion specification.

8. An image converting system according to claim 2 ,

wherein said conversion specifying means is stored in said storage medium.

9. An image converting system according to claim 8 ,

wherein said conversion specifying means includes a command which detects the end of input of one frame.

10. An image converting system according to claim 8 ,

wherein said conversion specifying means includes a command which changes set values of said image converting devices.

11. An image converting system according to claim 10 ,

wherein said image converting devices are read line number specifying means.

12. An image converting system according to claim 8 ,

wherein said conversion specifying means includes a command indicating the end of conversion specification.
