Abstract

The present invention aims to provide a supporting material for supporting the shape of a photofabrication model on photofabrication in ink-jet three dimensional printing method in which the photocured product is excellent in solubility in water and is easy to remove after photofabrication, and the like. A modeling material for forming a photofabrication model in ink-jet three dimensional printing method containing a curable resin component with a weighted average of SP value of 9.0 to 10.3; and a supporting material for supporting the shape of a photofabrication model on photofabrication in ink-jet three dimensional printing method containing a water-soluble monofunctional ethylenically unsaturated monomer (F), polyoxypropylene glycol with a number average molecular weight of 100 to 5,000 and/or water (G), and a photopolymerization initiator (D).

Claims (8)

1. A supporting material used in ink jet three dimensional printing method where discharging of a modeling material from a printer head for modeling material and discharging of a supporting material from a printer head for supporting material are repeated for the formation of layers on a modeling table to shape a three-dimensional fabrication product formed of a photocured product of the modeling material and a photocured product of the supporting material, and the photocured product of the supporting material is dissolved and separated from the photocured product of the modeling material to extract the photocured product of the modeling material by immersing the three-dimensional fabrication product in water, wherein

the supporting material contains a water-soluble monofunctional ethylenically unsaturated monomer (F), an alkylene oxide adduct (G), and a photopolymerization initiator (D),

wherein said alkylene oxide adduct (G) having a number average molecular weight of from 100 to 5,000 and being a water-soluble compound, and said alkylene oxide adduct is compatible with the water-soluble monofunctional ethylenically unsaturated monomer (F), and wherein the alkylene oxide adduct (G) within the photocured product of the supporting material being soluble in water and not compatible with a photocured product of (F) and

the content of (F) is 3% to 45% and the content of (G) is 50% to 95%, on the basis of the weight of the supporting material.

2. The supporting material according to claim 1 , wherein the photopolymerization initiator (D) is a water-soluble photopolymerization initiator.

3. The supporting material according to claim 1 , wherein the photocured product of the supporting material has a durometer hardness of 17 to 35 HDA.

4. The supporting material according to claim 1 , wherein (G) further comprises water.

5. The supporting material according to claim 1 , wherein the photocured product of the supporting material is dissolvable in water and only the photocured product of the modeling material is extracted by immersing the three dimensional fabrication product in water.
