Abstract

An electronic cigarette includes a battery assembly and an atomizer assembly within a housing with the battery assembly electrically connected to the atomizer assembly. The housing has one or more air inlets. A liquid storage component is in contact with a porous component of the atomizer assembly, with the porous component having a run-through hole. A heating wire is in an air flow path through the run-through hole.

Claims (48)

1 . An electronic device, comprising:

a battery assembly having a battery;

an atomizer assembly in a cylindrical housing having a longitudinal axis;

a liquid storage component;

the atomizer assembly having a hollow porous component, and a wire coil electrically connected to the battery;

the wire coil located inside the hollow porous component and having a longitudinal axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing; and

an air path from the wire coil to an outlet.

2 . The electronic device of claim 1 with the hollow porous component adjacent to the liquid storage component.

3 . The electronic device of claim 1 with the hollow porous component in contact with liquid in the liquid storage component.

4 . The electronic device of claim 3 with the hollow porous component concentric with the liquid storage component.

5 . The electronic device of claim 4 with the hollow porous component concentric with the wire coil.

6 . The electronic device of claim 1 with the hollow porous component positioned to absorb liquid from the liquid storage component.

7 . The electronic device of claim 3 with the liquid storage component around the porous component.

8 . The electronic device of claim 1 further including air inlets in the cylindrical housing.

9 . The electronic device of claim 1 wherein the battery is cylindrical.

10 . The electronic device of claim 1 with the battery assembly having an operating indicator.

11 . The electronic device of claim 10 wherein the operating indicator is an LED and with the battery assembly further comprising an electronic circuit board electrically connected to the LED and to the wire coil.

12 . The electronic device of claim 7 wherein the hollow porous component is cylindrical.

13 . The electronic device of claim 12 wherein the hollow porous component has a first end and a second end and a through opening having a constant diameter from the first end to the second end.

14 . The electronic device of claim 13 wherein the porous component comprises a fiber material.

15 . The electronic device of claim 11 wherein the battery is rechargeable and the battery assembly housing includes a charging plug for recharging the battery.

16 . The electronic device of claim 7 wherein the liquid storage component is a bottle assembly.

17 . A vaporizing device comprising:

a battery assembly including a rechargeable battery, an operating indicator and a charging plug electrically connected to an electronic circuit board;

an atomizer assembly electrically connected to the battery assembly, with the atomizer assembly including:

a liquid storage component in a cylindrical housing having at least one air inlet and an outlet;

a wire coil in a hollow cylindrical component in the cylindrical housing, the hollow cylindrical component having a central axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical housing, with the hollow cylindrical component comprising a fiber material supplied with liquid from the liquid storage component;

an atomizing chamber formed within inner cylindrical walls of the hollow cylindrical component;

an air flow path from the at least one air inlet to the outlet; and

with the wire coil electrically connected to the electronic circuit board and the wire coil parallel to the longitudinal axis.

18 . The device of claim 17 with the atomizing chamber having a uniform diameter.

19 . The device of claim 18 with the hollow porous component concentric with the wire coil.

20 . The device of claim 19 with the hollow porous component concentric with the liquid storage component.

21 . The device of claim 18 with the wire coil extending substantially entirely through the hollow cylindrical component.

22 . The electronic device of claim 17 with the liquid storage component around the porous component.

23 . The electronic device of claim 17 wherein the liquid storage component is a bottle assembly.

24 . The electronic device of claim 17 with the atomizing chamber formed between a front end opening and a back end opening of the hollow cylindrical component, to allow air to flow into and out of the atomizing chamber.

25 . A vaporizing device comprising:

a battery assembly including a rechargeable battery, an operating indicator and a charging plug electrically connected to an electronic circuit board;

an atomizer assembly electrically connected to the battery assembly, with the atomizer assembly including:

a bottle assembly in a cylindrical housing having at least one air inlet and an outlet;

a wire coil in a hollow cylindrical fiber material component in the cylindrical housing, the hollow cylindrical fiber material component having a central axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical housing, with the hollow cylindrical fiber material component comprising supplied with liquid from the bottle assembly;

an atomizing chamber formed within inner cylindrical walls of the hollow cylindrical fiber material component between a front end opening and a back end opening of the hollow cylindrical fiber material component, to allow air to flow into and out of the atomizing chamber;

an air flow path from the at least one air inlet to the outlet; and

with the wire coil electrically connected to the electronic circuit board and the wire coil parallel to the longitudinal axis.

26 . The device of claim 25 with the atomizing chamber having a uniform diameter.

27 . The device of claim 25 with the hollow cylindrical fiber material component concentric with the wire coil and the bottle assembly.

28 . The device of claim 27 with the wire coil extending substantially entirely through the hollow cylindrical fiber material component.
