CORRECTIVE OPTIC MOUNTING SYSTEM
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to solid optical systems and methods for use in head-worn computing systems, including a multi-piece solid optical module, wherein the multi-piece solid optic includes a plurality of materials adapted to transmit image light to an eye of a user and further adapted to provide the user with a see-through view of a surrounding environment, the multi-piece solid optical module further including a substantially flat vertical outer surface, and an ophthalmologic corrective optic adapted to be removably and replaceably mounted to the substantially flat vertical outer surface.
1 . A head-worn computer, comprising:
a multi-piece solid optical module, wherein the multi-piece solid optic includes a plurality of materials adapted to transmit image light to an eye of a user and further adapted to provide the user with a see-through view of a surrounding environment, the multi-piece solid optical module further including a substantially flat vertical outer surface; and
an ophthalmologic corrective optic adapted to be removably and replaceably mounted to the substantially flat vertical outer surface.
2 . The head-worn computer of claim 1 , wherein the ophthalmologic corrective optic includes a substantially flat surface that substantially aligns with the multi-piece solid optical module substantially flat vertical outer surface.
3 . The head-worn computer of claim 1 , wherein the removability and replacability is based on a mechanical attachment system.
4 . The head-worn computer of claim 1 , wherein the removability and replacability is based on a magnetic attachment system.
5 . The head-worn computer of claim 3 , wherein the mechanical attachment system includes a clip that attaches to the sides of the solid optical module.
