Particle Removal Device and Method of Using the Same
A particle removal device including a particle removal sticker. The particle removal sticker including a top side and a bottom side. The bottom side of the particle removal sticker includes an adhesive configured to removably adhere to a screen of an electronic device. The particle removal device also includes a sticker release liner. The sticker release liner includes a top side removably attached to the bottom side of the particle removal sticker. The sticker release liner is configured to be removed from the bottom side of the particle removal sticker to expose the adhesive and to adhere the particle removal sticker to the screen. The particle removal sticker is configured to remove particles as the particle removal sticker is removed from the screen. Other embodiments are provided.
1 . A particle removal device, comprising:
a particle removal sticker, the particle removal sticker including a top side and a bottom side, wherein the bottom side of the particle removal sticker includes an adhesive configured to removably adhere to a screen of an electronic device; and
a sticker release liner, wherein the sticker release liner includes a top side removably attached to the bottom side of the particle removal sticker, wherein the sticker release liner is configured to be removed from the bottom side of the particle removal sticker to expose the adhesive and to adhere the particle removal sticker to the screen, and wherein the particle removal sticker is configured to remove particles as the particle removal sticker is removed from the screen.
2 . The particle removal device of claim 1 , wherein the sticker release liner includes an end portion and a device portion, wherein the end portion extends beyond a first end of the screen, and wherein the device portion extends from the end portion to a second end of the screen.
3 . The particle removal device of claim 2 , wherein the device portion is configured to be removed to expose a portion of the adhesive for being adhered to the screen.
4 . The particle removal device of claim 2 , wherein the end portion is configured to be folded over the particle removal sticker to expose the end portion of the release liner, and wherein the end portion of the release liner is configured to be removed from the particle removal sticker to expose an end portion of the adhesive.
5 . The particle removal device of claim 2 , wherein the end portion of the release liner is configured to be removed from the particle removal sticker to expose an end portion of the adhesive, wherein when the end portion is removed from the particle removal sticker to expose the end portion of the adhesive, the end portion of the adhesive is configured to be adhered to a pull tab of an overlay applicator, and wherein the pull tab is configured to be pulled to remove the particle removal sticker from the screen and to remove an adhesive release liner of the overlay applicator from a bottom side of an overlay layer to expose an adhesive of the overlay layer to the screen.
6 . The particle removal device of claim 1 , wherein an end portion of the adhesive is configured to be adhered to a pull tab of an overlay applicator, wherein the overlay applicator includes an alignment tab including an alignment mechanism, and wherein the alignment mechanism is configured to align the overlay applicator with the screen of the electronic device as the overlay layer is adhered to the screen.
7 . A method, comprising:
removing a sticker release liner from a bottom side of a particle removal sticker to expose an adhesive on the bottom side of the particle removal sticker, wherein the adhesive is configured to removably adhere to a screen of an electronic device;
applying the particle removal sticker to a screen of an electronic device; and
removing the particle removal sticker from the screen of the electronic device, wherein removal of the particle removal sticker removes particles as the particle removal sticker is removed from the screen.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the sticker release liner includes an end portion and a device portion, wherein the end portion extends beyond a first end of the screen, and wherein the device portion extends from the end portion to a second end of the screen.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising removing the device portion to expose a portion of the adhesive for being adhered to the screen.
10 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
folding the end portion over the particle removal sticker to expose the end portion of the release liner; and
removing the end portion of the release liner from the particle removal sticker to expose an end portion of the adhesive.
11 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
removing the end portion of the release liner from the particle removal sticker to expose an end portion of the adhesive; and
adhering the end portion of the adhesive to a pull tab of an overlay applicator; and
pulling the pull tab to remove the particle removal sticker from the screen and to remove an adhesive release liner of the overlay applicator from a bottom side of an overlay layer to expose an adhesive of the overlay layer to the screen.
12 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising:
adhering an end portion of the adhesive to a pull tab of an overlay applicator, wherein the overlay applicator includes an alignment tab including an alignment mechanism, and wherein the alignment mechanism is configured to align the overlay applicator with the screen of the electronic device as the overlay layer is adhered to the screen.
