15. A method converting thoughts into output information, the method comprising:

receiving signals corresponding to a series of directional thoughts generated in a brain of a user;

processing the signals, the directional thoughts comprising rhythms of mu and beta rhythms, each series of directional thoughts corresponding to a series of imagined directions including at least three directional dimensions, the directions defining a line pattern, wherein the line pattern comprises one or more parts, each part comprising a plurality of steps, each step corresponding to an imagined direction, the length of each step corresponding to the duration of a corresponding thought;

process the line pattern to match a pre-defined line pattern with a pre-defined item of information; and

outputting the pre-defined item of information.

16. The method of claim 15 , wherein the item of information comprises a character, a numeral, or a word.

17. The method of claim 16 wherein the steps comprise at least one up, down, left, right, forward, or backward step.

18. The method of claim 16 , wherein the signals are received by a brain-scanning device.
