Abstract

The present invention relates to injecting a high specificity cytokine antagonist into a diseased intervertebral disc.

Claims (7)

21 . A method of treating a patient having a degenerating disc, comprising the step of:

a) injecting into the disc a formulation comprising:

i) cultured, allograft intervertebral disc cells; and

ii) fibrinogen; and

b) forming within the disc a fibrin matrix derived from the fibrinogen that provides a scaffold for new tissue growth.

22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the formulation further comprises iii) thrombin.
