MULTI-USER INTERLEAVED WAGERING SYSTEM

1 . A multi-user interactive application interleaved wagering system, comprising:

an interactive controller constructed to:

generate a user interface of a collective wagering application;

generate a user interface of an interactive application;

combine the user interface of the collective wagering application and the user interface of the interactive application into a combined user interface displayed to a user;

detect user interactions with the combined user interface and communicate the user interactions to an application controller;

receive from the application controller a collective wager outcome; and

display to the user using the wagering user interface of the combined user interface, the collective wager outcome; and

an application controller operatively connecting the interactive controller to a collective wager controller, wherein the application controller is constructed to:

receive from the interactive controller, the user interactions;

detect a collective wagering event from the user interactions;

determine the collective wager outcome responsive to the collective wagering event using the collective wager controller; and

communicate the collective wager event to the interactive controller.

2 . The multi-user interactive application interleaved wagering system of claim 1 , wherein the collective wager controller allocates a meter to store one or more collective wagering outcomes.

3 . The multi-user interactive application interleaved wagering system of claim 1 , wherein the display to the user of the collective wager outcome is only a partial display.

The multi-user interactive application interleaved wagering system of claim 1 , wherein the multi-user interactive application is a competitive skill-based interactive game played by two or more players in which an outcome of the competitive skill-based interactive game includes a relative ranking between the two or more users.

5 . The multi-user interactive application interleaved wagering system of claim 4 , wherein the relative ranking between the two or more users is used to determine a distribution to the two or more users of the collective wager outcome determined by the collective wager controller.

6 . The multi-user interactive application interleaved wagering system of claim 1 wherein a distribution of the collective wager outcome is divided between two or more users.

7 . The multi-user interactive application interleaved wagering system of claim 6 wherein the distribution of the collective wager outcome is determined by the application controller.

8 . The multi-user interactive application interleaved wagering system of claim 1 ,

wherein interactive controller and application controller are constructed from the same device, and

wherein application controller is operatively connected to the collective wager controller using a communication link.

9 . The multi-user interactive application interleaved wagering system of claim 1 ,

wherein the collective wager controller and application controller are constructed from the same device, and

wherein the application controller is operatively connected to interactive controller using a communication link.

10 . The multi-user interactive application interleaved wagering system of claim 1 , further comprising:

an enclosure constructed to mount:

a user input device operatively connected to the interactive controller;

a user output device operatively connected to the interactive controller;

a credit input device operatively connected to the collective wager controller; and

a credit output device operatively connected to the collective wager controller.

11 . The multi-user interactive application interleaved wagering system of claim 4 , further comprising a random number generator, wherein the collective wager controller is further constructed to:

communicate with the credit input device to receive a credit input, the credit input for collective wagering to determine the collective wager outcome;

generate the collective wager outcome based on a random result generated by the random number generator; and

update a credit meter based on the collective wager outcome.
