Abstract

A method of manufacturing a display device, including: a stacking step of stacking, on a glass substrate, a sacrificial resin layer, a metal layer, a transparent metal oxide layer, a base material resin layer, and a functional layer including at least one of a pixel circuit-constituting layer driving a plurality of pixels and a color filter layer, in this order; a radiating step of radiating a pulsed light of a xenon flash lamp to the metal layer through the glass substrate and the sacrificial resin layer; and a detaching step of reducing a force of adhesion between the sacrificial resin layer and the metal layer with the pulsed light radiated in the radiating step, and detaching the sacrificial resin layer from the metal layer.

Claims (22)

1. A method of manufacturing a display device including a plurality of pixels, the method comprising:

a stacking step of stacking, on a glass substrate, a sacrificial resin layer, a metal layer, a transparent metal oxide layer, a base material resin layer, and a functional layer including at least one of a pixel circuit-constituting layer driving the plurality of pixels and a color filter layer, in this order;

a radiating step of radiating a pulsed light of a xenon flash lamp to the metal layer through the glass substrate and the sacrificial resin layer; and

a detaching step of reducing a force of adhesion between the sacrificial resin layer and the metal layer with the pulsed light radiated in the radiating step, and detaching the sacrificial resin layer from the metal layer.

2. The method of manufacturing the display device according to claim 1 , wherein

in the detaching step,

the metal layer generates heat by radiation of the pulsed light,

the heat causes thermal decomposition of the sacrificial resin layer in an area in contact with the metal layer, and

the sacrificial resin layer is detached from the metal layer.

3. The method of manufacturing the display device according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a second stacking step of stacking, on a second glass substrate, a second sacrificial resin layer, a second metal layer, a second transparent metal oxide layer, a second base material resin layer, a terminal, and a protective layer covering the terminal, in this order; and

a bonding step of bonding the glass substrate and the second glass substrate together, wherein

the detaching step is performed after the bonding step, and

the method further includes, after the detaching step, an etching step of removing the metal layer by etching and also etching the protective layer to expose the terminal.

4. The method of manufacturing the display device according to claim 1 , wherein

the functional layer includes the pixel circuit-constituting layer, and

the method further includes, after the detaching step, a step of disposing a protective film on a surface of the metal layer.

5. The method of manufacturing the display device according to claim 1 , wherein

the stacking step includes

a step of stacking the sacrificial resin layer on the glass substrate,

a step of subjecting a surface of the sacrificial resin layer to a plasma treatment, and

a step of forming the metal layer on the surface.
