A method for treating a mamal infected with the HIV virus comprising administering to said mamal a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound 1-benzoyl-4-[2-[4-methoxy-7-(3-methyl-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-1-[(phosphonooxy)methyl]-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-c]pyridin-3-yl]-1,2-dioxoethyl]-piperazine, having the following structure:
2 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the administration of a second AIDS treatment agent selected from the group consisting of AIDS antiviral agents, anti-infective agents, immunomodulators, and HIV entry inhibitors.
3 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound 1-benzoyl-4-[2-[4-methoxy-7-(3-methyl-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-1-[(phosphonooxy)methyl]-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-c]pyridin-3-yl]-1,2-dioxoethyl]-piperazine, having the following structure:
