Abstract

A display device that includes a substrate having a display region and an adjacent peripheral region is provided, including; a plurality of sub-pixels provided within the display region; a plurality of data lines electrically connected to the sub-pixels; and a first electronic circuit group and a second electronic circuit group provided in the peripheral region, connected to the corresponding data lines. The first electronic circuit group includes a plurality of first electronic circuits, and the second electronic circuit group includes a plurality of second electronic circuits. Two adjacent first electronic circuits are arranged with a first interval therebetween, and the first interval has a first width. Two adjacent second electronic circuits are arranged with a second interval therebetween, and the second interval has a second width. The first width and the second width are different.

Claims (22)

1. A display device, comprising:

a substrate having a non-rectangular display region and a peripheral region which are adjacent to each other, wherein the non-rectangular display region comprises a first region and a second region;

a plurality of first sub-pixels arranged in a rectangular pixel array within the first region;

a plurality of second sub pixels arranged in a non-rectangular pixel array within the second region;

a plurality of first data lines disposed at the first region, and a plurality of second data lines disposed at the second region, wherein the first data lines are longer than the second data lines;

a first group comprising a plurality of first electronic circuits which are arranged within the peripheral region and electrically connected to the first data lines; and

a second group comprising a plurality of second electronic circuits which are arranged within the peripheral region and electrically connected to the second data lines.

2. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the second width is less than the first width.

3. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a portion of the second electronic circuits in the second group are electrically connected to the second data lines by a plurality of connection lines.

4. The display device as claimed in claim 3 , further comprising a common line, the common line having a first bending portion, the first group connects to the second group through the common line.

5. The display device as claimed in claim 4 , wherein a length of the connection lines is in proportion to a distance between the first bending portion and the connection line.

6. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first electronic circuits in the first group and the second electronic circuits in the second group are arranged along a first direction.

7. The display device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the arrangements of the first and second electronic device groups do not overlap along the first direction.

8. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the substrate further comprises a metal layer and a wiring layer, the metal layer is adjacent to the wiring layer;

wherein the metal layer has a first boundary, the wiring layer has a second boundary, the first boundary is adjacent to the second boundary,

wherein a third interval and a fourth interval are located between the first boundary and the second boundary along the first direction, the third interval has a third width and the fourth interval has a fourth width, the third width and the fourth width are different.

9. The display device as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the wiring layer is disposed between the metal layer and the peripheral region.

10. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein numbers of the first sub-pixels arranged within the first region are more than numbers of the second sub-pixels arranged in the second region.

11. The display device as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the fourth width is less than the third width.

12. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first electronic circuits and the second electronic circuits are electrostatic discharge protection circuits.

13. The display device as claimed in claim 12 , wherein at least one of the electrostatic discharge protection devices comprises two diodes connected in an inverse parallel connection.

14. The display device as claimed in claim 12 , wherein at least one of the electrostatic discharge protection devices comprises at least one thin film transistor.
