Claims (21)

.- 57 . (canceled)

. A method of simultaneously decreasing triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels in a human, comprising administering to a human in need thereof an amount of a krill extract effective to decrease triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels in a human, wherein the krill extract comprises eicosapentanoic acid and docosahexanoic acid.

. The method of claim 58 , wherein the triglyceride levels are decreased by about 15% and the LDL levels are decreased by about 13%.

. The method of claim 58 , wherein the administering is effected orally.

. The method of claim 60 , wherein the krill extract is contained in a capsule.

. The method of claim 61 , wherein the krill extract is administered daily.

. The method of claim 62 , wherein the krill extract is administered at a dose of 1 to 4.8 g.

. The method of claim 58 , wherein the krill extract is an oil extract free of enzyme.

. The method of claim 58 , wherein the krill extract comprises more than 30 g/100 g omega-3 lipids.

. A method of simultaneously decreasing triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels and increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels in a human, comprising administering to a human in need thereof an amount of a krill extract effective to decrease triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels and increase high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels in a human, wherein the krill extract comprises eicosapentanoic acid and docosahexanoic acid.

. The method of claim 66 , wherein the triglyceride levels are decreased by about 15%, the LDL levels are decreased by about 13%, and the HDL levels are increased by about 8%.

. The method of claim 66 , wherein the administering is effected orally.

. The method of claim 68 , wherein the krill extract is contained in a capsule.

. The method of claim 69 , wherein the krill extract is administered daily.

. The method of claim 70 , wherein the krill extract is administered at a dose of 1 to 4.8 g.

. The method of claim 66 , wherein the krill extract is an oil extract free of enzyme.

. The method of claim 66 , wherein the krill extract comprises more than 30 g/100 g omega-3 lipids.

. A method of simultaneously decreasing triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels, increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels, and controlling blood glucose level in a human, comprising administering to a human in need thereof an amount of a krill extract effective to decrease triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels, increase high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels, and control blood glucose level in a human, wherein the krill extract comprises eicosapentanoic acid and docosahexanoic acid.

. The method of claim 74 , wherein the triglyceride levels are decreased by about 15%, the LDL levels are decreased by about 13%, the HDL levels are increased by about 8%, and the blood glucose levels are decreased by about 20%.

. The method of claim 74 , wherein the administering is effected orally.

. The method of claim 76 , wherein the krill extract is contained in a capsule.
