Abstract

A gaming machine which makes it possible to improve monotonous game play is provided. A gaming machine includes: a display device configured to display a game result by rearranging symbols arranged on video reels; a storage device configured to store a normal mode video reel on which the symbols including a predetermined symbol are arranged and a chance mode video reel on which the number of the predetermined symbol is larger than the number of the predetermined symbol on the normal mode video reel; and a controller configured to perform switching between a game in a normal mode using the normal mode video reel and a game in a chance mode using the chance mode video reel, when a predetermined condition is satisfied.

Claims (18)

1. A gaming machine comprising:

a display device configured to display a game result by rearranging symbols arranged on video reels;

a storage device configured to store a normal mode video reel on which the symbols including a predetermined symbol are arranged and a chance mode video reel on which a first number of the predetermined symbol is larger than a second number of the predetermined symbol on the normal mode video reel; and

a controller configured to perform switching between a normal game in a normal mode using the normal mode video reel and a chance game in a chance mode using the chance mode video reel, when a predetermined condition is satisfied,

wherein the predetermined condition is a case where a combination of rearranged symbols which are rearranged on the display device is a predetermined combination,

wherein the controller randomly determines whether to execute the switching between the normal game in the normal mode and the chance game in the chance mode when the combination of the rearranged symbols is the predetermined combination,

wherein there are plural predetermined combinations of symbols,

wherein the storage device is configured to store a switching random determination table in which probabilities of execution of the switching between the normal game in the normal mode and the chance game in the chance mode are associated with the plural predetermined combinations, respectively, the probabilities being different from each other,

wherein when the combination of the rearranged symbols is the predetermined combination of the rearranged symbols, the controller determines whether to execute the switching between the normal game in the normal mode and the chance game in the chance mode based on random determination with reference to the switching random determination table, and wherein,

the plural predetermined combinations include a first predetermined combination and a second predetermined combination, a probability with which the combination of the rearranged symbols is the first predetermined combination being lower than a probability with which the combination of the rearranged symbols is the second predetermined combination, and

in the switching random determination table, a probability of execution of the switching between the normal game in the normal mode and the chance game in the chance mode when the combination of the rearranged symbols is the first predetermined combination is higher than a probability of execution of the switching between the normal game in the normal mode and the chance game in the chance mode when the combination of the rearranged symbols is the second predetermined combination.

2. The gaming machine according to claim 1 , wherein,

in the chance game in the chance mode, the controller is configured to display the chance mode video reel on the display device so that a part of the predetermined symbol overlaps a symbol adjacent to the predetermined symbol.

3. The gaming machine according to claim 1 , wherein,

the display device is provided with a frame which is capable of encompassing a predetermined number of symbols successively arranged in an up-down direction on a video reel, and

in the chance game in the chance mode, the controller is configured to display the chance mode video reel on the display device so that a part of the predetermined symbol overlaps background of each of symbols immediately above and below the predetermined symbol.

4. The gaming machine according to claim 3 , wherein,

when the predetermined symbol is rearranged inside the frame of the display device, the controller is configured to display another part of the predetermined symbol to overlap a front surface of the frame of the display device.
