Abstract

Disclosed herein is a content supplying apparatus for supplying a video content to a content reproduction apparatus, including: a production section adapted to produce a video switch command for causing the content reproduction apparatus to execute a process regarding changeover of a video content to be reproduced; a broadcasting section adapted to broadcast a video content, in which the produced video switch command is embedded, through a broadcasting network; and a delivery section adapted to deliver the video content through the Internet.

Claims (48)

1. A video processing apparatus comprising:

circuitry configured to:

acquire a first video content from a video broadcast network, the first video content being associated with a first view of a multi-view program;

process the first video content for display;

acquire a switch command embedded in the first video content, the switch command including a target data format:

acquire an Internet location from the video broadcast network, the Internet location indicating a location of a second video content, the second video content being associated with a second view of said multi-view program, the first view and the second view being different;

acquire the second video content of the target data format from the Internet location;

process the second video content for display in accordance with the switch command.

2. The video processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

the first video content is acquired from a terrestrial broadcast, and

the second video content is acquired from an Internet network.

3. The video processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the circuitry is configured to acquire the second video content from a content source that is identified by a target stream identifier.

4. The video processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the target data format defines a stream type of the second video content.

5. The video processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the circuitry is configured to:

acquire a preload command before the switch command is acquired, and

acquire the second video content based on a target stream identifier included in the preload command.

6. The video processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the switch command includes a stream start position which indicates a start timing position within the second video content.

7. The video processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the switch command includes a command identifier which identifies the switch command.

8. The video processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the switch command includes a command code which indicates a type of a video switch command.

9. The video processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the switch command includes a personalized mode which indicates whether or not a user authentication exists upon acquisition of delivery content.

10. The video processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the switch command includes an auto switch flag which indicates whether a confirmation is to be requested before changeover from the first video content to the second video content.

11. The video processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the switch command includes a switching message, the switching message corresponding to a question to be presented to a user when a confirmation of the user is to be acquired before changeover from the first video content to the second video content.

12. A television receiver including the video processing apparatus according to claim 1 .

13. A video processing method of a video processing apparatus, the method comprising:

acquiring a first video content from a video broadcast network, the first video content being associated with a first view of a multi-view program;

processing the first video content for display;

acquiring, using circuitry of the video processing apparatus, a switch command embedded in the first video content, the switch command including a target data format;

acquiring an Internet location from the video broadcast network, the Internet location indicating a location of a second video content, the second video content being associated with a second view of said multi-view program, the first view and the second view being different;

acquiring the second video content of the target data format from the Internet location; and

processing, using the circuitry, the second video content for display in accordance with the switch command.

14. The video processing method according to claim 13 , wherein

the first video content is provided via a terrestrial broadcast, and

the second video content is delivered through an Internet network.

15. The video processing method according to claim 14 , further comprising:

acquiring, using the circuitry, the second video content from a content source that is associated with a target stream identifier.

16. The video processing, method according to claim 13 , wherein the target data format defines a stream type of the second video content.

17. The video processing method according to claim 13 , further comprising:

acquiring, using the circuitry, a preload command before the switch command is acquired; and

acquiring, using the circuitry, the second video content based on a target stream identifier included in the preload command, the preload and switch commands including a same target stream identifier.

18. The video processing method according to claim 13 , wherein the switch command includes a stream start position which indicates a start timing position within the second video content.

19. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a program which, when executed by a computer, causes the computer to perform a video processing method, the video processing method comprising:

acquiring a first video content from a video broadcast network, the first video content being associated with a first view of a multi-view program:

processing the first video content for display:

acquiring, using circuitry of a video processing apparatus, a switch command embedded in the first video content, the switch command including a target data format;

acquiring an Internet location from the video broadcast network, the Internet location indicating a location of a second video content, the second video content being associated with a second view of said multi-view program, the first view and the second view being different:

acquiring the second video content of the target data format from the Internet location; and

processing, using the circuitry, the second video content for display in accordance with the switch command.

20. The video processing apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the switch command embedded in the first video content is acquired during display of the first video content.
