Abstract

The present invention relates to a panel and method for manufacturing panels for wall or floor coverings, comprising two or more thermoplastic layers including at least one thermoplastic substrate layer and at least one top layer comprising at least a decor layer, a print layer and a transparent wear layer, and wherein both said thermoplastic substrate layer and said top layer are provided with a reinforcement layer, wherein said transparent wear layer is provided with a relief.

Claims (6)

1. Panel for wall or floor covering comprising two or more thermoplastic layers including at least one thermoplastic substrate layer and at least one top layer comprising at least one decor layer with print layer and a transparent wear layer, and wherein each of said thermoplastic substrate layer and said top layer is provided with a reinforcement layer comprising glass fibres, wherein said transparent wear layer is provided with a relief having a depth of at least 0.2 mm, wherein said decor layer with print layer comprises a printed plastic film with a thickness ranging between 0.1 mm and 1.0 mm, wherein said plastic film is made of PVC film, wherein a plasticizer content in said PVC film is lower than 15% by weight, wherein said PVC film has a K-value comprised between 60 and 75, measured according to EN ISO 1628-2, wherein said transparent wear layer comprises PVC with a K-value comprised between 70 and 85, measured according to EN ISO 1628-2, and wherein said substrate layer comprises a closed cell PVC foam having a density of between 800 kg/m 3 and 1600 kg/m 3 .

2. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein said relief has been applied by mechanical and chemical structuring.

3. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein the overlap of said relief with said underlying print layer is at least 95%.

4. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein said reinforcement layers comprise a glass fibre cloth or a glass fibre fleece.

5. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein said glass fibres have a length of 1 mm or more.

6. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein said glass fibres have a diameter ranging between 5 and 25 μm.
