Abstract

A vertically adjustable double end bag system includes a double end bag connected to a tether. The tether may be a continuous cord o two connected cords, and may be flexible or substantially fixed length. The double end bag includes an adjuster mechanism for selectively positioning the bag. A support, such as may be connected to a door or other upright fixture or as may be free-standing via a base, connects to and suspends the tether.

Claims (48)

1 . A system for boxing and exercise, comprising:

a bag having a top and a bottom;

a tether connected to the top and the bottom of the bag;

a vertical adjuster for selectively positioning the bag in connection to the tether.

2 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:

an upper support arm connected to the tether towards the top of the bag; and

a lower support arm connected to the tether towards the bottom of the bag.

3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the upper arm is configured to attach to a top of a door and the lower arm is configured to attach to a bottom of a door.

4 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:

a sensor connected to the bag; and

a processor device communicatively connected to the sensor.

5 . The system of claim 3 , further comprising:

a mount connected to the upper support arm, for retaining the processor device during use of the system for boxing and exercise.

6 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the processor device includes a memory containing a set of instructions, a processor for processing the set of instructions, and an output device for delivering commands per the set of instructions, wherein the instructions include:

outputting a training exercise command;

outputting a boxing routine command;

calculating a boxing performance metric based on strikes to the bag; and

storing workout history in memory.

7 . A system for boxing and training, comprising:

a double end bag;

a removable cover surrounding the double end bag, the removable cover provides at least one flat surface.

8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the removable cover is inflatable to surround the double end bag and includes throughways for passage of a cord suspending the double end bag.

9 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the removable cover is attached to the double end bag by a zipper of the cover.

10 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the removable cover is padded.

11 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the at least one flat surface is padded.

12 . A system for boxing and exercise, comprising:

a bow;

an upper cord slidably connected to the bow;

a lower cord slidably connected to the bow;

a double end bag having a top and a bottom, the top of the double end bag connected to the upper cord and the bottom of the double end bag connected to the lower cord.

13 . The system of claim 12 , further comprising:

an underlying base connected to the bow, for vertically positioning the bow with the double end bag vertically suspended by the upper cord and the lower cord.

14 . The system of claim 12 , further comprising:

a sensor connected to the double end bag; and

a processor device communicatively connected to the sensor.

15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the processor device includes a memory containing a set of instructions, a processor for processing the set of instructions, and an output device for delivering interactive commands per the set of instructions, wherein the instructions include:

outputting a training exercise by the output device;

outputting a boxing routine by the output device;

calculating a boxing performance metric based on strikes to the bag; and

storing workout history in memory.

16 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the upper cord is elastic and the lower cord is substantially fixed length.

17 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the lower cord is elastic and the upper cord is substantially fixed length.

18 . The system of claim 13 , further comprising:

a weight of the underlying base.

19 . The system of claim 12 , further comprising:

a weight connected to the underlying base.

20 . The system of claim 14 , further comprising:

a mount connected to the bow, for retaining the processor device during use of the system.
