Abstract

A display unit of the disclosure includes a display panel and a light-distribution adjustment sheet. The light-distribution adjustment sheet is provided on the display panel, and includes a protrusion that protrudes toward the display panel. The protrusion includes a first region including a curved surface, and a second region including a flat surface.

Claims (39)

1. A display unit, comprising:

a display panel;

a resin layer; and

a light-distribution adjustment sheet on the display panel, wherein

the light-distribution adjustment sheet comprises a protrusion that protrudes towards the display panel,

the protrusion includes a first region, a second region, and a third region,

the third region includes a flat surface,

each of the first region and the second region includes a curved surface,

the protrusion is devoid of an inflection point between at least one of the first region or the second region and the third region,

the resin layer is between the light-distribution adjustment sheet and the display panel, and

the resin layer binds the light-distribution adjustment sheet with the display panel; and

a light guiding plate configured to guide light towards the display panel, wherein the light guiding plate comprises a cyclic olefin copolymer.

2. The display unit according to claim 1 , wherein the protrusion comprises:

the first region on a first side of two sides of the third region, and

the second region on a second side of the two sides of the third region.

3. The display unit according to claim 1 , wherein the protrusion extends in a specific direction.

4. The display unit according to claim 1 , wherein

the display panel includes a plurality of pixels, and

a width of the protrusion in a direction orthogonal to an extending direction is smaller than a width of a pixel of the plurality of pixels.

5. The display unit according to claim 1 , wherein

a width of the first region and a width of the third region is at a specific ratio, and

a width of the second region and the width of the third region is at the specific ratio.

6. The display unit according to claim 1 , wherein

the light-distribution adjustment sheet further comprises a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface,

the display unit is in contact with the first surface, and

the second surface is applicable to a surface treatment.

7. The display unit according to claim 1 , wherein curvatures of the first region and the second region are same.

8. The display unit according to claim 1 , wherein curvatures of the first region and the second region are different.

9. The display unit according to claim 1 , wherein the resin layer comprises a low refractive index resin.

10. A light-distribution adjustment sheet, comprising:

a protrusion that protrudes in a specific direction, wherein

the protrusion includes a first region, a second region, and a third region,

the third region includes a flat surface,

each of the first region and the second region includes a curved surface,

the protrusion is devoid of an inflection point between at least one of the first region or the second region and the third region,

a resin layer is between the light-distribution adjustment sheet and a display panel,

the resin layer binds the light-distribution adjustment sheet with the display panel,

a light guiding plate guides light towards the display panel, and

the light guiding plate comprises a cyclic olefin copolymer.
