USER INTERFACE SYSTEMS FOR HEAD-WORN COMPUTERS
Aspects of the present disclosure relates to user interface systems and methods for use in head-worn computing systems. In a head-worn computer, an inertial measurement unit (“IMU”) is in communication with a processor. The processor is adapted to identify a user tap control action, the user tap control action being a finger tap on a frame of the head-worn computer, wherein the finger tap is measured by the IMU and further adapted to control an aspect of a software application operating on the head-worn computer.
1 . A head-worn computer, comprising:
an inertial measurement unit (“IMU”) in communication with a processor;
the processor adapted to identify a user tap control action, the user tap control action being a finger tap on a frame of the head-worn computer, wherein the finger tap is measured by the IMU; and
the processor further adapted to control an aspect of a software application operating on the head-worn computer.
2 . The head-worn computer of claim 1 , further comprising a rotary user interface, mounted on an arm of the head-worn computer, wherein the rotary user interface controls an aspect of the software application in conjunction with the user tap control action.
3 . The head-worn computer of claim 1 , further comprising a touch surface user interface, mounted on an arm of the head-worn computer, wherein the touch surface user interface controls an aspect of the software application in conjunction with the user tap control action.
4 . The head-worn computer of claim 1 , wherein the user tap control action initiates a selection of an element in a graphical user interface presented on a see-through display of the head-worn computer.
