Abstract

There is provided a terminal for performing OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing) communication with a base station forming a cell. The terminal includes a control channel processing unit configured to monitor, in a sub-frame, a first control channel in a cell-specific search space that is a search space common within the cell, and a first control channel in a UE-specific search space that is a search space specific to the terminal. In a case where monitoring of a second control channel different from the first control channel that is in the cell-specific search space or the UE-specific search space is configured, the control channel processing unit monitors, in a sub-frame, at least both the first control channel in the cell-specific search space and the second control channel in the UE-specific search space.

Claims (32)

1. A user equipment (UE) apparatus that is configured to communicate with a base station apparatus by using a primary cell and a secondary cell, the UE apparatus comprising:

reception circuitry that receives a higher layer signaling; and

control channel processing circuitry that monitors, based on the high layer signaling, an enhanced physical downlink control channel on the primary cell and on the secondary cell; wherein

the control channel processing circuitry demodulates the enhanced physical downlink control channel on the primary cell by using a first UE-specific reference signal or on the secondary cell by using a second UE-specific reference signal, and

the higher layer signaling includes at least a first information element and a second information element, the first information element specifying an enhanced physical downlink control channel configuration for the primary cell, and the second information element specifying an enhanced physical downlink control channel configuration for the secondary cell.

2. The UE apparatus according to the claim 1 , wherein

the first information element includes at least an enhanced physical downlink control channel subframe configuration for the primary cell, and

the second information element includes at least an enhanced physical downlink control channel subframe configuration for the secondary cell.

3. A base station apparatus that is configured to communicate with a user equipment (UE) apparatus by using a primary cell and a secondary cell, the base station apparatus comprising:

multiplexing circuitry that multiplexes a first enhanced physical downlink control channel with a first UE-specific reference signal, and a second enhanced physical downlink control channel with a second UE-specific reference signal; and

transmission circuitry that transmits a higher layer signaling, wherein

the transmission circuitry transmits, based on the high layer signaling, the first enhanced physical downlink control channel on the primary cell and the second enhanced physical downlink control channel on the secondary cell; wherein

the higher layer signaling includes at least a first information element and a second information element, the first information element specifying an enhanced physical downlink control channel configuration for the primary cell, and the second information element specifying an enhanced physical downlink control channel configuration for the secondary cell.

4. The base station apparatus according to the claim 3 , wherein

the first information element includes at least an enhanced physical downlink control channel subframe configuration for the primary cell, and

the second information element includes at least an enhanced physical downlink control channel subframe configuration for the secondary cell.

5. A communication method of a user equipment (UE) apparatus that is configured to communicate with a base station apparatus by using a primary cell and a secondary cell, the communication method comprising:

receiving a higher layer signaling, and

monitoring, based on the high layer signaling, an enhanced physical downlink control channel on the primary cell and on the secondary cell, wherein

the monitoring demodulates the enhanced physical downlink control channel on the primary cell by using a first UE-specific reference signal or on the secondary cell by using a second UE-specific reference signal, and

the higher layer signaling includes at least a first information element and a second information element, the first information element specifying an enhanced physical downlink control channel configuration for the primary cell and the second information element specifying an enhanced physical downlink control channel configuration for the secondary cell.

6. The communication method according to the claim 5 , wherein

the first information element includes at least an enhanced physical downlink control channel subframe configuration for the primary cell, and

the second information element includes at least an enhanced physical downlink control channel subframe configuration for the secondary cell.

7. A communication method of a base station apparatus that is configured to communicate with a user equipment (UE) apparatus by using a primary cell and a secondary cell, the communication method comprising:

multiplexing a first enhanced physical downlink control channel with a first UE-specific reference signal, and a second enhanced physical downlink control channel with a second UE-specific reference signal;

transmitting a higher layer signaling; and

transmitting, based on the high layer signaling, the first enhanced physical downlink control channel on the primary cell and the second enhanced physical downlink control channel on the secondary cell, wherein

the higher layer signaling includes at least a first information element and a second information element, the first information element specifying an enhanced physical downlink control channel configuration for the primary cell, the second information element specifying an enhanced physical downlink control channel configuration for the secondary cell.

8. The communication method according to the claim 7 , wherein

the first information element includes at least an enhanced physical downlink control channel subframe configuration for the primary cell, and

the second information element includes at least an enhanced physical downlink control channel subframe configuration for the secondary cell.
