Abstract

The invention provides for a panel for detecting chromosomal abnormalities in a plurality of cells in a cervical sample wherein the panel comprises a plurality of fluorescently labeled probes individually capable of hybridizing to specific chromosomal locations associated with a chromosomal abnormality in patients at risk for a cervical cell disorder. The invention also comprises a fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) probe set comprising the plurality of fluorescently labeled probes.

Claims (28)

1. A composition consisting of a plurality of fluorescently labeled probes, wherein each probe of the plurality of fluorescently labeled probes is greater than 20 kb and individually hybridizes to a chromosomal location selected from:

(a) at least one of LRRIQ4, LRRC31, SAMD7, LOC100128164, SEC62, GPR160, PHC3, or PRKCI; and

(b) either CEP3 or CEN7; and

(c) at least one of ADCY2, C5orf49, FASTKD3, MTRR, SEMA5A, SNORD123, TAS2R1, LOC285692, FAM173B, CCT5, CMBL, MARCH6, ROPNIL, DAP, or CTNND2; and

optionally, wherein the chromosomal location further consists of 20q13.

2. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (a) is LRRIQ4.

3. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (a) is LRRC31.

4. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (a) is SAMD7.

5. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (a) is LOC100128164.

6. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (a) is SEC62.

7. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (a) is GPR160.

8. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (a) is PHC3.

9. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (a) is PRKCI.

10. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (a) is at least two of LRRIQ4, LRRC31, SAMD7, LOC100128164, SEC62, GPR160, PHC3, or PRKCI.

11. The composition of claim 10 , wherein (a) is GPR160 and PHC3.

12. The composition of claim 10 , wherein (a) is at least three of LRRIQ4, LRRC31, SAMD7, LOC100128164, SEC62, GPR160, PHC3, or PRKCI.

13. The composition of claim 12 , wherein (a) is GPR160, PHC3, and PRKCI.

14. The composition of claim 12 , wherein (a) is SAMD7, LOC100128164, SEC62, GPR160, and PHC3.

15. The composition of claim 12 , wherein (a) is LRRIQ4, LRRC31, SAMD7, LOC100128164, SEC62, GPR160 and PHC3.

16. The composition of claim 12 , wherein (a) is LRRIQ4, LRRC31, and SAMD7.

17. The composition of claim 12 , wherein (a) is LRRIQ4, LRRC31, SAMD7, LOC100128164, and SEC62.

18. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (c) is SEMA5A.

19. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (c) is CTNND2.

20. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (a) is GPR160 and PHC3, (b) is CEN7 and (c) is SEMA5A.

21. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (a) is LRRIQ4, LRRC31, and SAMD7, (b) is CEN7 and (c) is SEMA5A.

22. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (b) is CEN7 and (c) is CTNND2.

23. The composition of claim 1 , wherein (b) is CEN7 and (c) is SNORD123 or TAS2R1.

24. The composition of claim 23 , wherein the chromosome location further consists of 20q13.
