Abstract

A system and method for facilitating a transaction involving an autonomous device includes: receiving a transaction request from the initiating party; generating an addendum based on the transaction request; validating the one or more requests in the addendum by referencing the one or more claims in the exhibit; digitally signing the addendum by the autonomous transacting device with a cryptographic key and by the initiating transacting device with a cryptocurrency key; verifying a value of the cryptocurrency key; and performing the one or more requests of the transaction request based on the digitally signed addendum and once the value of the cryptocurrency key is verified.

Claims (27)

1 . A system for facilitating a transaction involving an autonomous transacting device and another entity, the system comprising:

an initiating transacting entity;

an autonomous transacting device comprising:

(i) a memory having stored thereon a digital smart contract, wherein the digital smart contract comprises a JSON Web Token (JWT) being define by an exhibit that defines one or more claims in association with one or more JSON Web Keys;

(ii) a cryptographic processor;

(iii) a cryptographic storage medium having cryptographic code stored thereon, that when executed by the cryptographic processor performs:

receiving a transaction request from the initiating party;

generating an addendum based on the transaction request;

validating the one or more requests in the addendum by referencing the one or more claims in the exhibit;

digitally signing the addendum by the autonomous transacting device with a cryptographic key and by the initiating transacting device with a cryptocurrency key;

verifying a value of the cryptocurrency key;

performing the one or more requests of the transaction request based on the digitally signed addendum and once the value of the cryptocurrency key is verified.

2 . A method for facilitating a transaction involving an autonomous transacting device and another entity, the method comprising:

at a cryptographic processor operably in communication a cryptographic storage medium having stored thereon a digital smart contract, wherein the digital smart contract comprises a JSON Web Token (JWT) being define by an exhibit that defines one or more claims in association with one or more JSON Web Keys, wherein cryptographic storage medium further having computer-executable code stored thereon, that when executed by the cryptographic processor performs:

receiving a transaction request from the initiating party;

generating an addendum based on the transaction request;

validating the one or more requests in the addendum by referencing the one or more claims in the exhibit;

digitally signing the addendum by the autonomous transacting device with a cryptographic key and by the initiating transacting device with a cryptocurrency key;

verifying a value of the cryptocurrency key; and

performing the one or more requests of the transaction request based on the digitally signed addendum and once the value of the cryptocurrency key is verified.

3 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon computer-executable code that when executed by one or more of a processor and a cryptographic processor performs:

receiving a transaction request from the initiating party;

generating an addendum based on the transaction request;

validating the one or more requests in the addendum by referencing the one or more claims in the exhibit;

digitally signing the addendum by the autonomous transacting device with a cryptographic key and by the initiating transacting device with a cryptocurrency key;

verifying a value of the cryptocurrency key; and

performing the one or more requests of the transaction request based on the digitally signed addendum and once the value of the cryptocurrency key is verified.
