Abstract

A cognitive information processing system environment which includes a plurality of data sources, at least one of the plurality of data sources comprising a blockchain data source having associated blockchain data; a cognitive inference and learning system coupled to receive the data from the plurality of data sources to provide cognitively processed data, the cognitive inference and learning system performing a learning operation to improve the cognitively processed data over time, the learning operation being based at least in part on the blockchain data from the blockchain data source; and, a destination, the destination receiving the cognitively processed data.

Claims (24)

1. A cognitive information processing system environment comprising:

a plurality of data sources, at least one of the plurality of data sources comprising a blockchain data source having associated blockchain data;

a cognitive inference and learning system coupled to receive the data from the plurality of data sources to provide cognitively processed data, the cognitive inference and learning system performing a learning operation, the learning operation evolving the cognitively processed data over time, the learning operation being based at least in part on the blockchain data from the blockchain data source, the learning operation implementing a cognitive learning technique according to a cognitive learning framework, the cognitive learning framework comprising a plurality of cognitive learning styles and a plurality of cognitive learning categories, each of the plurality of cognitive learning styles comprising a generalized learning approach implemented by the cognitive inference and learning system to perform the cognitive learning operation, each of the plurality of cognitive learning categories referring to a source of information used by the cognitive inference and learning system when performing the cognitive learning operation, an individual cognitive learning technique being associated with a primary cognitive learning style and bounded by an associated primary cognitive learning category, the learning operation applying the cognitive learning technique via a machine learning algorithm to generate a cognitive learning result, the cognitive inference and learning system comprising a cognitive platform, the cognitive platform comprising

a cognitive graph, the cognitive graph being derived from the plurality of data sources, the cognitive graph comprising a blockchain cognitive graph and an application cognitive graph, the blockchain cognitive graph comprising a cognitive graph associated with blockchain knowledge, the application cognitive graph comprising a cognitive graph associated with a cognitive application, interactions between the cognitive application and the application cognitive graph being represented as a set of nodes in the cognitive graph, and,

a cognitive engine, the cognitive engine comprising a dataset engine, a graph query engine and an insight/learning engine, the graph query engine accessing knowledge elements stored within the blockchain cognitive graph and the application cognitive graph when providing the cognitively process data; and,

a destination, the destination receiving the cognitively processed data the destination comprising the cognitive application, the cognitive application enabling a user to interact with the cognitive learning result.

2. The cognitive information processing system environment of claim 1 , wherein:

the cognitive inference and learning system performs a single step assurance operation based upon the cognitively processed data.

3. The cognitive information processing system environment of claim 1 , wherein:

the cognitive inference and learning system generates a cognitive insight based upon the cognitively processed data.

4. The cognitive information processing system environment of claim 3 , wherein:

the cognitive inference and learning system uses the blockchain data to assure the cognitive insight.

5. The cognitive information processing system environment of claim 3 , wherein:

the cognitive inference and learning system uses the blockchain data to provide visibility into transactions used for generation of the cognitive insight.

6. The cognitive information processing system environment of claim 1 , wherein:

the plurality of data sources further comprise at least one of a social data source, a public data source, a private data source and a device data source.

7. The cognitive information processing system environment of claim 1 , wherein:

the cognitive inference and learning system performs cognitive analysis operations on the blockchain data.

8. The cognitive information processing system environment of claim 1 , wherein:

the cognitive inference and learning system generates cognitive blockchain data based upon the cognitively processed data.

9. The cognitive information processing system environment of claim 8 , wherein:

the cognitive inference and learning system initiates a blockchain transaction based upon the cognitive blockchain data.

10. The cognitive information processing system environment of claim 1 , wherein:

the destination comprises at least one of a mobile application, an alert, a business intelligence type application, a statistical tool, a third party custom application, a marketplace and an application program interface.
