Abstract

A system comprising at least one processor; and at least one storage device. The storage device(s) store instructions that, when executed, configure the at least one processor to: receive input, determine, based on the input, a geographical region, a plurality of investment parameters, and an investment goal, determine, based on the plurality of investment parameters and the investment goal, a plurality of investment options for achieving the investment goal, generate a travel map of the geographical region that relates each of the investment options of the plurality of investment options to a corresponding vehicle and a corresponding path from a starting location to a destination location within the geographical region, and output, for display, the travel map.

Claims (84)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a computing system, a first set of input;

determining, by the computing system and based on the first set of input, a geographical region, a plurality of investment parameters, and an investment goal, wherein the plurality of investment parameters include an initial investment amount, a periodic investment amount, and an investment goal timeframe;

determining, by the computing system using a Markov chain analysis based on the plurality of investment parameters and the investment goal, a plurality of investment options for achieving the investment goal, wherein each of the plurality of investment options includes an investment option timeframe;

generating, by the computing system, a travel map of the geographical region that assigns each of the investment options of the plurality of investment options to a corresponding travel vehicle and a corresponding travel path from a starting location to a destination location within the geographical region,

wherein for each of the plurality of investment options, the corresponding travel vehicle and the corresponding travel path are chosen to represent a mode of travel where travel safety corresponds to investment safety, travel speed corresponds to investment reward, and travel distance corresponds to investment timeframe, and

wherein, for each of the plurality of investment options, the corresponding travel path from the starting location to the destination location is assigned based on topological ordering of possible paths;

displaying, by the computing system and through a user interface, the travel map;

receiving, by the computing system, a second set of input indicating interaction with the travel map;

adjusting, by the computing system and based on the second set of input, one or more of the plurality of investment parameters;

determining, by the computing system and based on the one or more adjusted investment parameters, one or more revised investment options;

generating, by the computing system, a revised travel map of the geographical region that assigns each of the one or more revised investment options to a revised set of travel options within the geographical region;

updating the travel map, by the computing system, to dynamically display on the user interface the revised travel map;

receiving, by the computing system, a third set of input selecting one of the revised set of travel options; and

identifying, by the computing system and based on the third set of input selecting one of the revised set of travel options, a selected investment option.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

outputting, by the computing system, to an investment market, information about the selected investment option and the user; and

updating, by the computing system and after the selected investment option has been deployed, the revised travel map of the geographical region by presenting information that corresponds to the past performance of the selected investment option.

3. The method of claim 2 , further comprising:

receiving, by the computing system, a fourth set of input;

generating, by the computing system, based on the fourth set of input, a further revised travel map illustrating the selected investment option in terms of a modified travel vehicle traveling to the destination location on a revised travel path, wherein at least a portion of the revised travel path reflects predicted future performance of the modified travel vehicle; and

displaying, by the computing system and through the user interface, the further revised travel map.

4. The method of claim 2 , further comprising:

receiving, by the computing system, a fourth set of input;

identifying, by the computing system, based on the fourth set of input, a modified investment goal;

generating, by the computing system, based on the modified investment goal, a further revised travel map illustrating at least one of: a modified travel vehicle, a modified investment travel path, or a modified destination location; and

displaying, by the computing system and through the user interface, the further revised travel map.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first set of input is generated by a user, and wherein receiving the first set of input includes:

receiving travel history information about the user that indicates that the user is familiar with the geographical region.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the investment parameters further include a travel vehicle.

7. A computing system comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one storage device that stores instructions that, when executed, configure the at least one processor to:

receive a first set of input,

determine, based on the first set of input, a geographical region, a plurality of investment parameters, and an investment goal, wherein the plurality of investment parameters include an initial investment amount, a periodic investment amount, and an investment goal timeframe,

determine, using a Markov chain analysis based on the plurality of investment parameters and the investment goal, a plurality of investment options for achieving the investment goal, wherein each of the plurality of investment options includes an investment option timeframe,

generate a travel map of the geographical region that assigns each of the investment options of the plurality of investment options to a corresponding travel vehicle and a corresponding travel path from a starting location to a destination location within the geographical region,

wherein for each of the plurality of investment options, the corresponding travel vehicle and the corresponding travel path are chosen to represent a mode of travel where travel safety corresponds to investment safety, travel speed corresponds to investment reward, and travel distance corresponds to investment timeframe, and

wherein, for each of the plurality of investment options, the corresponding travel path from the starting location to the destination location is assigned based on topological ordering of possible paths,

display, through a user interface, the travel map,

receive a second set of input indicating interaction with the travel map,

adjust, based on the second set of input, one or more of the plurality of investment parameters,

determine, based on the one or more adjusted investment parameters, one or more revised investment options,

generate a revised travel map of the geographical region that assigns each of the one or more revised investment options to a revised set of travel options within the geographical region,

update the travel map to dynamically display on the user interface the revised travel map,

receive a third set of input selecting one of the revised set of travel options, and

identify, based on the third set of input selecting one of the revised set of travel options, a selected investment option.

8. The system of claim 7 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further configure the at least one processor to:

output, to an investment market, information about the selected investment option and the user; and

update, after the selected investment option has been deployed, the revised travel map of the geographical region by presenting information that corresponds to the past performance of the selected investment option.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further configure the at least one processor to:

receive a fourth set of input;

generate, based on the fourth set of input, a further revised travel map illustrating the selected investment option in terms of a modified travel vehicle traveling to the destination location on a revised travel path, wherein at least a portion of the revised travel path reflects predicted future performance of the modified travel vehicle; and

display, through the user interface, the further revised travel map.

10. The system of claim 7 , wherein the first set of input is generated by a user, and wherein receiving the first set of input includes:

receiving travel history information about the user that indicates that the user is familiar with the geographical region.

11. The system of claim 7 , wherein the investment parameters include a travel vehicle.

12. A computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed, configure at least one processor of a computing system to:

receive a first set of input;

determine, based on the first set of input, a geographical region, a plurality of investment parameters, and an investment goal, wherein the plurality of investment parameters include an initial investment amount, a periodic investment amount, and an investment goal timeframe;

determine, using a Markov chain analysis based on the plurality of investment parameters and the investment goal, a plurality of investment options for achieving the investment goal, wherein each of the plurality of investment options includes an investment option timeframe;

generate a travel map of the geographical region that assigns each of the investment options of the plurality of investment options to a corresponding travel vehicle and a corresponding travel path from a starting location to a destination location within the geographical region,

wherein for each of the plurality of investment options, the corresponding travel vehicle and the corresponding travel path are chosen to represent a mode of travel where travel safety corresponds to investment safety, travel speed corresponds to investment reward, and travel distance corresponds to investment timeframe, and

wherein, for each of the plurality of investment options, the corresponding travel path from the starting location to the destination location is assigned based on topological ordering of possible paths;

display, through a user interface the travel map;

receive a second set of input indicating interaction with the travel map,

adjust, based on the second set of input, one or more of the plurality of investment parameters;

determine, based on the one or more adjusted investment parameters, one or more revised investment options;

generate a revised travel map of the geographical region that assigns each of the one or more revised investment options to a revised set of travel options within the geographical region;

update the travel map to dynamically display on the user interface the revised travel map;

receive a third set of input selecting one of the revised set of travel options; and

identify, based on the third set of input selecting one of the revised set of travel options, a selected investment option.

13. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , and wherein the instructions, when executed, further configure the at least one processor to:

output, to an investment market, information about the selected investment option and the user; and

update, after the selected investment option has been deployed, the revised travel map of the geographical region by presenting information that corresponds to the past performance of the selected investment option.

14. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further configure the at least one processor to:

receive a fourth set of input;

generate, based on the fourth set of input, a further revised travel map illustrating the selected investment option in terms of a modified travel vehicle traveling to the destination location, wherein at least a portion of the further revised travel map reflects predicted future performance of the modified travel vehicle; and

display, through the user interface, the further revised travel map.

15. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further configure the at least one processor to:

receive a fourth set of input;

identify, based on the fourth set of input, a modified investment goal;

generate, based on the modified investment goal, a further revised travel map illustrating at least one of: a modified travel vehicle, modified investment travel path, and a modified destination location; and

display, through the user interface, the further revised travel map.
