Abstract

In an example of this disclosure, a method may include storing, by a first database server, first call session information in a data structure in a memory of the first database server. The first call session information may correspond to a unique identifier that corresponds to a caller. The method may include replicating the first call session information stored in the data structure in the memory of the first database server to a data structure in a memory of a second database server.

Claims (50)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a first database server, first call session information for a first call session between a caller and a first telephony component;

storing, by the first database server, the first call session information in a data structure in a memory of the first database server, wherein the first call session information corresponds to a unique identifier that corresponds to the caller, wherein the first database server is included within a first data center;

sending, by the first database server to a second database server, a data write request, wherein the data write request includes the first call session information stored in the data structure in the memory of the first database server, wherein the second database server is included within a second data center, different from the first data center;

receiving, by the second database server, the data write request from the first database server;

storing, by the second database server, the first call session information in a data structure in a memory of the second database server;

receiving, by the second database server and from an interactive voice response (IVR) server, a data read request for the first call session information, wherein the data read request includes the unique identifier;

processing, by the second database server, the data read request using the unique identifier; and

releasing, by the second database server and in response to receiving and processing the data read request, the first call session information from the memory of the second database server for use over a second call session between the caller and the IVR server, wherein the IVR server is included within the second data center.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

releasing, by the first database server, the first call session information from the memory of the first database server for use over the second call session.

3. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein the first telephony component is a first interactive voice response (IVR) server included within the first data center and the IVR server is a second IVR server included within the second data center.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first call session information includes authentication information that corresponds to the caller.

5. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein the first data center is located in a first geographic location and the second data center is located in a second geographic location, different from the first geographic location.

6. A system comprising:

a first database server having a first memory, wherein the first database server is included within a first data center; and

a second database server having a second memory, wherein the second database server is included within a second data center, different from the first data center;

wherein the first database server is configured to:

receive first call session information for a first call session between a caller and a first telephony component,

store the first call session information in a data structure in the first memory, wherein the first call session information corresponds to a unique identifier that corresponds to the caller, and

send, to the second database server, a data write request, wherein the data write request includes the first call session information stored in the data structure in the memory, and

wherein the second database server is configured to:

receive, from the first database server, the data write request;

store the first call session information in a data structure in a second memory of the second database server;

receive, from an interactive voice response (IVR) server, a data read request for the first call session information, wherein the data read request includes the unique identifier,

process the data read request using the unique identifier, and

release, in response to receiving and processing the data read request, the first call session information from the memory of the second database server for use over a second call session between the caller and the IVR server, wherein the IVR server is included within the second data center.

7. The system of claim 6 , wherein the first database server is configured to release the first call session information from the first memory for use over the second call session.

8. The system of claim 6 , wherein the first telephony component is a first interactive voice response (IVR) server included within the first data center and the IVR server is a second IVR server included within the second data center.

9. The system of claim 6 , wherein the first call session information includes authentication information that corresponds to the caller.

10. The system of claim 6 , wherein the first data center is located in a first geographic location and the second data center is located in a second geographic location, different from the first geographic location.

11. The system of claim 6 , wherein the first memory and the second memory comprise cache memory, and wherein the first server database is further configured to send a write request to a third database server to store the first session information in persistent memory storage of the third database server.

12. The system of claim 6 , wherein at least one of the first database server or the second database server comprises a cache server.

13. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing first instructions and second instructions thereon,

wherein the first instructions, when executed, cause one or more processing units of a first database server included within a first data center to:

receive first call session information for a first call session between a caller and a first telephony component;

store the first call session information in a data structure in a memory of the first database server, wherein the first call session information corresponds to a unique identifier that corresponds to the caller; and

send, to the second database server, a data write request, wherein the data write request includes the first call session information stored in the data structure in the memory of the first database server; and

wherein the second instructions, when executed, cause one or more processing units of a second database server included within a second data center, different from the first data center, to:

receive, from the first database server, the data write request;

store the first call session information in a data structure in a second memory of the second database server;

receive, from an interactive voice response (IVR) server, a data read request for the first call session information, wherein the data read request includes the unique identifier;

process the data read request using the unique identifier; and

release, in response to receiving and processing the data read request, the first call session information from the memory of the second database server for use over a second call session between the caller and the IVR server, wherein the IVR server is included within the second data center.

14. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the first instructions, when executed, cause the one or more processing units of the first database server to:

release the first call session information from the first memory for use over the second call session.

15. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 ,

wherein the first call session information includes authentication information that corresponds to the caller.
