Abstract

A display device includes: a plurality of first electrodes arranged in a display region for displaying an image; a second electrode opposed to the first electrodes; a plurality of switching elements that are arranged in the display region and coupled to the first electrodes or the second electrode; a gate line for supplying a scanning signal for scanning the switching elements; a data line for supplying a signal to the switching elements that are coupled to the switching elements; and conductive wire that is opposed to the second electrode via an insulating layer and is coupled to the switching elements.

Claims (15)

1. A display device comprising:

a plurality of first electrodes arranged in a display region for displaying an image;

a second electrode opposed to the first electrodes;

a plurality of switching elements that are arranged in the display region and coupled to the first electrodes or the second electrode;

a frame region around the display region, the frame region including first frame areas opposed to each other in a first direction and second frame areas opposed to each other in a second direction crossing the first direction;

a gate line that extends in the first direction and that is coupled to the switching elements, the gate line supplying a scanning signal for scanning the switching elements, the gate line being one of a plurality of gate lines;

a data line that extends in the second direction and that supplies a signal to the switching elements;

a conductive wire that extends in the second direction and that overlaps the data line, the conductive wire being opposed to the second electrode via an insulating layer and coupled to the switching elements; and

a gate driver that supplies the scanning signal to the plurality of gate lines, the gate driver being arranged in one of the second frame areas that are opposed to each other in the second direction,

wherein each of the gate lines extending in the first direction is coupled through the conductive wire to the gate driver in the one of the second frame areas.

2. The display device according to claim 1 , wherein the switching elements are arranged at positions corresponding to the first electrodes, respectively, and each supply a pixel signal to respective one of the first electrodes.

3. The display device according to claim 2 , wherein the conductive wire is coupled to the switching elements via the gate line.

4. The display device according to claim 1 , wherein

the conductive wire has a tab protruding at a position where the conductive wire and the gate line overlap, and

each of the gate lines extending in the first direction is coupled through the conductive wire extending in the second direction at the tab of the conductive wire to the gate driver that is arranged in the one of the second frame areas to which the data line, overlapped by the conductive wire, extends.
