Aeronautical car and associated features
An aeronautical car comprises a ground-travel system including at least one traction device, an air-travel system including at least one flight mechanism configured to be selectively moved between a first position when the aeronautical car is in a driving mode and a second position when the aeronautical car is in a flying mode, and a weather manipulation device. The weather manipulation device may be configured to manipulate at least one aspect of a weather condition while the aeronautical car is in the air.
1. An aeronautical car, comprising:
a ground-travel system including at least one traction device operatively connected to a drivetrain for propelling the aeronautical car on the ground, wherein the drivetrain includes a power source operatively connected to the traction device via a plurality of drivetrain components, the drivetrain components including a transmission or a differential;
an air-travel system including
a detachable portion configured to house a propulsion device configured to provide thrust and to be driven by the drivetrain when the detachable portion is connected to the aeronautical car, and
at least one flight mechanism configured to provide lift once the aeronautical car is in motion, the flight mechanism being configured to be selectively moved between a first position when the aeronautical car is in a driving mode and a second position when the aeronautical car is in a flying mode, wherein the flight mechanism is configured to be stowed underneath or within an internal compartment of the aeronautical car; and
a weather manipulation device, the weather manipulation device configured to manipulate at least one aspect of a weather condition while the aeronautical car is in the air.
2. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , wherein the at least one traction device includes four traction devices.
3. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , wherein the ground-travel system includes a suspension system, a chassis, a transmission, and an exterior lighting system.
4. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , wherein the flight mechanism includes at least one wing.
5. The aeronautical car of claim 4 , wherein the at least one wing is configured to be stored and deployed from underneath the aeronautical car.
6. The aeronautical car of claim 5 , wherein the at least one wing is connected to an actuator configured to rotate the wing.
7. The aeronautical car of claim 5 , wherein the at least one wing is configured to collapse telescopically.
8. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , wherein the at least one propulsion device includes a rotor.
9. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , wherein the power source is an engine.
10. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , further including an electrical power system comprising a plurality of energy storage devices.
11. The aeronautical car of claim 10 , wherein the energy storage devices are rechargeable batteries.
12. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , further including a solar energy system comprising a plurality of solar panels.
13. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , further including a control system, the control system including a mechanism for moving the flight mechanism between the first position and the second position.
14. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , wherein the weather manipulation device includes a container configured to capture a cloud.
15. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , wherein the weather manipulation device includes a cloud-seeding system.
16. The aeronautical car of claim 15 , wherein the cloud-seeding system includes a nozzle and a sensing system.
17. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , wherein the weather manipulation device includes a storm interference system.
18. The aeronautical car of claim 1 , wherein the detachable portion is further configured to house a flight mechanism of the air-travel system.
19. The aeronautical car of claim 18 , wherein the detachable portion is autonomously powered or connectable to the power source.
