Abstract

A wireless device receives at least one message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising one or more licensed cells and one or more licensed assisted access (LAA) cells. The wireless device transmitting, in a subframe on an LAA cell of the one or more LAA cells, at least one sounding reference signal (SRS) employing a sounding procedure for the one or more LAA cells. The sounding procedure is independent of transmissions of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) in the one or more licensed cells.

Claims (34)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, at least one message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising one or more licensed cells and one or more licensed assisted access (LAA) cells;

transmitting, in a subframe via at least one of the one or more licensed cells, at least one physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) signal;

transmitting, in the subframe via an LAA cell of the one or more LAA cells, at least one sounding reference signal (SRS) employing a sounding procedure for the one or more LAA cells; and

wherein the sounding procedure for the one or more LAA cells:

comprises a first procedure for transmitting the at least one SRS and a second procedure for dropping configured transmissions of at least one second SRS; and

is independent of transmissions of the at least one PUSCH signal via the at least one of the one or more licensed cells different from the one or more LAA cells.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless device is not uplink power limited during the subframe.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of cells are in a same timing advance group (TAG).

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of cells are in a same cell group and in a same physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) group.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting to a base station a message comprising one or more parameters, the one or more parameters indicating that the wireless device supports an enhanced SRS transmission procedure.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting to a base station a message comprising one or more parameters, the one or more parameters indicating that the wireless device supports configuration of an uplink for an unlicensed cell.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one message further comprises SRS configuration parameters comprising an SRS bandwidth parameter and an SRS subframe configuration parameter.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the transmitting the at least one SRS is in response to receiving downlink control information from a base station.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of cells are in a same cell group.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of cells are in a same physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) group.

11. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive at least one message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising one or more licensed cells and one or more licensed assisted access (LAA) cells;

transmit, in a subframe via at least one of the one or more licensed cells, at least one physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) signal;

transmit, in the subframe via an LAA cell of the one or more LAA cells, at least one sounding reference signal (SRS) employing a sounding procedure for the one or more LAA cells; and

wherein the sounding procedure for the one more LAA cells:

comprises a first procedure for transmitting the at least one SRS and a second procedure for dropping configured transmissions of at least one second SRS; and

is independent of transmissions of the at least one PUSCH signal via the at least one of the one or more licensed cells different from the one or more LAA cells.

12. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the wireless device is not uplink power limited during the subframe.

13. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of cells are in a same timing advance group (TAG).

14. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to transmit to a base station a message comprising one or more parameters, the one or more parameters indicating that the wireless device supports an enhanced SRS transmission procedure.

15. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to transmit to a base station a message comprising one or more parameters, the one or more parameters indicating that the wireless device supports configuration of an uplink for an unlicensed cell.

16. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the at least one message further comprises SRS configuration parameters comprising an SRS bandwidth parameter and an SRS subframe configuration parameter.

17. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the transmitting the at least one SRS is in response to receiving downlink control information from a base station.

18. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of cells are in a same cell group and in a same physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) group.

19. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of cells are in a same cell group.

20. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of cells are in a same physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) group.
