View Patent ↗According to an aspect, a display apparatus includes: a display device that displays an image; and a drive circuit that drives the display device. The display device includes a regulator that supplies power based on a predetermined set voltage, a plurality of functional blocks that are operated by the supply of the power from the regulator and are related to operation of the display device, a voltage monitoring circuit that determines whether a level of a power supply voltage of at least one of the functional blocks is high or low based on a predetermined threshold voltage, and a voltage controller that increases the set voltage when the voltage monitoring circuit determines that the power supply voltage of the functional block is lower than the threshold voltage.
1. A display apparatus comprising:
a display device that displays an image; and
a drive circuit that drives the display device,
wherein the display device comprises
a regulator that supplies power based on a predetermined set voltage,
a plurality of circuit blocks that share the supply of the power from the regulator and control the display device,
a voltage monitoring circuit that determines whether a level of a power supply voltage of at least one of the circuit blocks is high or low based on a predetermined threshold voltage, and
a voltage controller that increases the set voltage when the voltage monitoring circuit determines that the power supply voltage of the circuit block is lower than the threshold voltage,
wherein the voltage controller reduces the set voltage when the power supply voltage is equal to or higher than the threshold voltage for a predetermined period of time after the set voltage has been increased by the voltage controller, and
wherein, when the voltage controller reduces the set voltage, a lower limit voltage of the set voltage is an initial set voltage before the voltage controller has increased the set voltage.
2. The display apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the voltage controller changes the set voltage in a predetermined voltage value steps, when changing the set voltage.
3. The display apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the voltage monitoring circuit comprises a plurality of comparators each of which determines whether the level of the power supply voltage is higher or lower than the threshold voltage, and
wherein the comparators are provided on respective wiring lines between the respective circuit blocks and the regulator.
4. The display apparatus according to claim 3 ,
wherein the regulator comprises a feedback path coupled with any one of the wiring lines between the circuit blocks and the regulator, and
wherein the regulator operates according to a result of comparison between a feedback voltage from the feedback path and the set voltage.
