JUICER CARTRIDGE WITH SECONDARY FLOW CHANNEL
Embodiments related to juicing systems including juicers for extracting juice from food matter contained within juicer cartridges are described.
1 . A juicer cartridge comprising:
a liquid impermeable compartment including an internal chamber containing food matter;
a first outlet from the chamber;
an outlet from the liquid impermeable compartment; and
a first channel fluidly connecting the outlet from the chamber and the outlet from the liquid impermeable compartment, wherein the outlet from the chamber is removed from the outlet from the compartment.
2 . The juicer cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the outlet from the liquid impermeable compartment is associated with a first side of the liquid impermeable compartment and the first outlet from the chamber is associated with a second side of the liquid impermeable compartment different from the first side of the liquid impermeable compartment.
3 . The juicer cartridge of claim 2 , wherein the first side and the second side of the liquid impermeable compartment are opposing sides of the liquid impermeable compartment.
4 . The juicer cartridge of claim 2 , wherein the first side and the second side of the liquid impermeable compartment are substantially orthogonal to one another.
5 . The juicer cartridge of claim 2 , further comprising a second outlet from the chamber associated with the first side of the liquid impermeable compartment and fluidly connected with the outlet from the liquid impermeable compartment via a second channel.
6 . The juicer cartridge of claim 2 , further comprising a second outlet from the chamber associated with a third side of the liquid impermeable compartment different from both the first side and the second side of the liquid impermeable compartment, and wherein the second outlet is fluidly connected with the outlet from the liquid impermeable compartment via a second channel.
7 . The juicer cartridge of claim 1 , further comprising a second outlet from the chamber that is fluidly connected to, and removed from, the outlet from the liquid impermeable compartment via a second channel, and wherein the first outlet and the second outlet from the chamber are located on opposing sides of the chamber.
8 . The juicer cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the channel extends along at least a portion of a periphery of the liquid impermeable compartment.
9 . The juicer cartridge of claim 8 , wherein the first channel extends along at least a portion of two sides of the periphery of the liquid impermeable compartment.
10 . The juicer cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the liquid impermeable compartment is capable of supporting pressures sufficient to extract liquid from the food matter.
11 . A juicer cartridge comprising:
a liquid impermeable compartment including an internal chamber at least partially surrounding liquid containing food matter;
an outlet associated with the liquid impermeable compartment and extending in a first direction; and
a first channel fluidly connecting the outlet and the chamber, wherein at least a portion of the first channel extends in a second direction different from the first direction.
12 . The juicer cartridge of claim 11 , wherein a portion of a flow path from within a portion of the internal chamber toward the channel is directed away from the outlet.
13 . The juicer cartridge of claim 12 , further comprising a second channel fluidly connecting the outlet and the chamber, wherein at least a portion of the second channel extends in a third direction different from the first direction and the second direction.
14 . The juicer cartridge of claim 13 , wherein the outlet is associated with a first side of the liquid impermeable compartment, the first channel is associated with a second side of the liquid impermeable compartment, and the second channel is associated with a third side of the liquid impermeable compartment, wherein the first, second, and third sides of the liquid impermeable compartment are different from one another.
15 . The juicer cartridge of claim 13 , wherein the first channel is associated with a first side of the internal chamber and the second channel is associated with a second side of the internal chamber, wherein the first side and the second side of the internal chamber are different from one another.
16 . The juicer cartridge of claim 13 , wherein the first side and the second side of the internal chamber are opposing sides of the internal chamber.
17 . The juicer cartridge of claim 11 , wherein the first channel extends along at least a portion of a periphery of the liquid impermeable compartment.
18 . The juicer cartridge of claim 17 , wherein the first channel extends along at least a portion of two sides of the periphery of the liquid impermeable compartment.
19 . The juicer cartridge of claim 11 , wherein the liquid impermeable compartment is capable of supporting pressures sufficient to extract liquid from the food matter.
