Abstract

An object of the present invention is to solve the following problems: a problem concerning the node lock license system in which when a license is given to only one hardware device, reissuance of the license is required every time a changeover of the hardware device to be used occurs; a problem concerning the node lock license system in which when a license is given to a plurality of hardware devices, the license fee is increased; a problem concerning the floating license system in which that when a client is in an environment where it cannot connect to the license server, the client cannot use intended software; and a problem concerning the floating license system in which that when a client malfunctions in a possessing state of the license, a procedure for license acquisition needs to be taken once again.

Claims (25)

1 . A license management apparatus comprising:

a processor configured to:

link a license key issued on a basis of a first terminal hardware unique information regarding a software and a predetermined authentication information, and register them;

make the first terminal utilize the software in a case where the authentication is successful by use of the authentication information for the first terminal utilizing the software; and

make a second terminal utilize the software and prevent the first terminal from utilizing the software in a case where the authentication is successful by use of the authentication information for the second terminal utilizing the software after the authentication by use of the authentication information for the first terminal utilizing the software is successful.

2 . The license management apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

the authentication information is assigned for each user.

3 . The license management apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

one terminal transmits software identification information and an arbitrary value to the license management apparatus, and the license management apparatus generates an identifier on a basis of the software identification information and the arbitrary value and utilizes the generated identifier as the authentication information.

4 . A license management method performed by a license management apparatus, the license management method comprising:

linking a license key issued on a basis of a first terminal hardware unique information regarding a software and a predetermined authentication information and registering them;

making the first terminal utilize the software in a case where the authentication is successful by use of the authentication information for the first terminal utilizing the software; and

making a second terminal utilize the software and preventing the first terminal from utilizing the software in a case where the authentication is successful by use of the authentication information for the second terminal utilizing the software after the authentication by use of the authentication information for the first terminal utilizing the software is successful.

5 . The license management method according to claim 4 , wherein

the authentication information is assigned for each user.

6 . The license management method according to claim 4 , wherein

one terminal transmits software identification information and an arbitrary value to the license management apparatus, and the license management apparatus generates an identifier on a basis of the software identification information and the arbitrary value and utilizes the generated identifier as the authentication information.

7 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing therein a license management program that makes a computer function as a license management apparatus, the license management program causing a computer to execute operations comprising:

linking a license key issued on a basis of a first terminal hardware unique information regarding a software and a predetermined authentication information and registering them;

making the first terminal utilize the software in a case where the authentication is successful by use of the authentication information for the first terminal utilizing the software; and

making a second terminal utilize the software and preventing the first terminal from utilizing the software in a case where the authentication is successful by use of the authentication information for the second terminal utilizing the software after the authentication by use of the authentication information for the first terminal utilizing the software is successful.

8 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 7 , wherein

the authentication information is assigned for each user.

9 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 7 , wherein

one terminal transmits software identification information and an arbitrary value to the license management apparatus, and the license management apparatus generates an identifier on a basis of the software identification information and the arbitrary value and utilizes the generated identifier as the authentication information.
