Abstract
The present invention is directed to sublingual formulations containing fentanyl, a pharmaceutically acceptable sale thereof, or derivative thereof, suitable for administration to a patient, and methods for treatment with the formulations.
Claims (1)
1. A sublingual spray formulation comprising from about 100 to about 800 micrograms of fentanyl, from about 20% to about 60% w/v ethanol and from about 4% to about 6% w/v propylene glycol wherein the formulation provides a mean time to lower limit of quantification (LLOQ) of fentanyl of about 5 minutes when administered to humans, wherein w/v denotes weight by volume.
