Abstract

The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a drive means configured to act on a medicament container for expelling a medicament; a holding means configured to hold said drive means in a pre-tensioned state; an activation means configured to interact with said holding means for releasing said drive means from the pre-tensioned state; wherein the device further comprises feedback means configured to interact both with said holding means and with said drive means for generating an audible and/or tactile and/or visual signal indicating that the medicament has been completely expelled.

Claims (20)

1 . A housing for a medicament delivery device comprising:

a proximal end;

a distal end;

an outer surface and an inner surface;

a cut-out located closer to the proximal end than the distal end, where the cut-out extends from the outer surface through to the inner surface to define a hole, where the cut-out has a frame that extends around the hole and protrudes radially outward from the outer surface.

2 . The housing of claim 1 further comprising a thickness defined by the distance between the outer surface and the inner surface.

3 . The housing of claim 2 where the cut-out further comprises side walls that project radially inward from the frame a distance greater than the thickness.

4 . The housing of claim 1 where the frame defines an elongated oval.

5 . The housing of claim 1 where the frame has two longitudinal sides and two circumferential

sides, where the longitudinal sides are of equal lengths that are parallel to a longitudinal axis of the housing, where the longitudinal sides are at least twice the length of the circumferential sides.

6 . The housing of claim 1 where the hole allows visual observation of a container coaxially arranged within the housing.

7 . The housing of claim 1 further comprising a second cut-out located 180 degrees from the cut-out, where the second cut-out is located closer to the proximal end than towards the distal end, where the second cut-out extends from the outer surface through to the inner surface to define a second hole, where the second cut-out has a second frame that extends completely around the second hole, where the second frame protrudes radially outward from the outer surface.

8 . The housing of claim 5 where the two circumferential sides of the frame are shaped as half circles.

9 . The housing of claim 1 where the frame extends completely around a periphery of the hole.

10 . A medicament device comprising:

a housing having a proximal end, a distal end, an outer surface and an inner surface;

a container holder coaxially arranged within the housing and holding a medicament container containing medicament; and

a cut-out located closer to the proximal end than the distal end, where the cut-out extends from the outer surface through to the inner surface to define a hole, where the cut-out has a frame that extends around the hole and protrudes radially outward from the outer surface.

where the hole allows visual observation of the container coaxially arranged within the housing.

11 . The medicament delivery device of claim 10 further comprises a drive positioned within the housing that generates a visual signal when the medicament is completely expelled from the medicament container.
