Abstract

A system for providing photonic battery charging that includes: a narrow beam light control module that selectively controls at least one narrow beam light emitter; the at least one narrow beam light emitter configured to emit a focused narrow beam of light to a corresponding charging zone, the focused narrow beam of light having a frequency within a predetermined frequency range; and at least one indicator that displays a visual indication of a location of the corresponding charging zone.

Claims (30)

1. A system for providing photonic battery charging, comprising:

a narrow beam light control module that selectively controls at least one narrow beam light emitter;

the at least one narrow beam light emitter configured to emit a focused narrow beam of light to a corresponding charging zone, the focused narrow beam of light having a frequency within a predetermined frequency range; and

at least one indicator that displays a visual indication of a location of the corresponding charging zone, wherein the at least one narrow beam light emitter is disposed on a first interior portion of a vehicle and the corresponding charging zone is located on a second interior portion of the vehicle that is remotely located from the first interior portion of the vehicle.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one indicator includes a light emitting diode configured to emit a light that illuminates the corresponding charging zone.

3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the light emitting diode includes a pinpoint light emitting diode.

4. The system of claim 1 , further comprising a device having a rechargeable battery and a receiver.

5. The system of claim 4 , wherein the receiver is configured to receive the focused narrow beam of light and to convert the focused narrow beam of light to electrical energy for charging the rechargeable battery.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the predetermined frequency range is between 430 terahertz and 770 terahertz.

7. A vehicle comprising:

a narrow beam light control module that selectively controls at least one narrow beam light emitter disposed on a first portion of a vehicle;

the at least one narrow beam light emitter configured to emit a focused narrow beam of light to a corresponding charging zone disposed on a second portion of the vehicle, the focused narrow beam of light having a frequency within a predetermined frequency range;

at least one indicator that displays a visual indication of a location of the corresponding charging zone; and

a WiFi control module that selectively controls at least one WiFi emitter that emits a WiFi signal to a corresponding WiFi zone.

8. The system of claim 7 , wherein the at least one narrow beam light emitter is disposed on a first interior portion of a vehicle and the corresponding charging zone is located on a second interior portion of the vehicle that is remotely located from the first interior portion of the vehicle.

9. The system of claim 7 , wherein the at least one narrow beam light emitter and the corresponding charging zone are disposed in a charging receptacle.

10. The system if claim 9 , wherein the charging receptacle is located on a center console of a vehicle.

11. The vehicle of claim 7 , wherein the corresponding WiFi zone is located in an area associated with a first passenger seat of a vehicle.

12. A system for providing photonic battery charging, comprising:

a narrow beam light control module that selectively controls at least one narrow beam light emitter;

the at least one narrow beam light emitter configured to emit a focused narrow beam of light to a corresponding charging zone, the focused narrow beam of light having a frequency within a predetermined frequency range; and

at least one indicator that displays a visual indication of a location of the corresponding charging zone, wherein the at least one narrow beam light emitter and the corresponding charging zone are disposed in a charging receptacle located on a center console of a vehicle.

13. The system of claim 12 , wherein the visual indication includes a light that illuminates the charging zone corresponding to the focused narrow beam of light.

14. The system of claim 12 , wherein the visual indication includes a pinpoint light that illuminates the charging zone corresponding to the focused narrow beam of light.

15. The system of claim 12 , further comprising a WiFi control module that selectively controls at least one WiFi emitter that emits a WiFi signal to a corresponding WiFi zone.

16. The system of claim 15 , wherein the corresponding WiFi zone is located in an area associated with a first passenger seat of a vehicle.

17. The system of claim 12 , wherein the at least one indicator includes a light emitting diode configured to emit a light that illuminates the corresponding charging zone.

18. The system of claim 17 , wherein the light emitting diode includes a pinpoint light emitting diode.

19. The system of claim 12 , further comprising a device having a rechargeable battery and a receiver.

20. The system of claim 19 , wherein the receiver is configured to receive the focused narrow beam of light and to convert the focused narrow beam of light to electrical energy for charging the rechargeable battery.
