Abstract

Provided is a display device, which includes a substrate, a transistor, a capacitor and a light emitting unit. The transistor and the capacitor are disposed on the substrate. The light emitting unit is disposed on the substrate and arranged corresponding to the capacitor. The light emitting unit includes a first light emitting diode. The first light emitting diode is electrically connected with the transistor and overlaps the capacitor. The display device has favorable space utilization, provides a repair function, or reduces the probability of failure.

Claims (30)

1. A display device, comprising:

a substrate;

a transistor disposed on the substrate;

a capacitor disposed on the substrate;

a light emitting unit disposed on the substrate and arranged corresponding to the capacitor and the transistor, wherein the light emitting unit comprises a first light emitting diode and a second light emitting diode;

a first electrode in physical contact with and electrically connected to the first light emitting diode and the second light emitting diode; and

a second electrode in physical contact with and electrically connected to the first emitting diode and the second light emitting diode,

wherein the first light emitting diode and the second light emitting diode are electrically connected with the transistor, and at least one of the first light emitting diode and the second light emitting diode overlaps the capacitor.

The display device according to claim 1 , further comprising a scan line and a data line disposed on the substrate, wherein an extension direction of the scan line is different from an extension direction of the data line, and the transistor is electrically connected with the scan line and the data line.

3. The display device according to claim 1 , wherein the light emitting unit further comprises a third light emitting diode, and the second light emitting diode is disposed between the first light emitting diode and the third light emitting diode.

4. The display device according to claim 3 , wherein the first light emitting diode and the second light emitting diode are connected in parallel.

The display device according to claim 4 , wherein the third light emitting diode is connected in parallel with the first light emitting diode and the second light emitting diode, or the third light emitting diode is connected in series with the first light emitting diode and the second light emitting diode.

6. The display device according to claim 3 , wherein the first electrode and the second electrode are disposed on the substrate, and wherein the third light emitting diode is in physical contact with and electrically connected with the first electrode and the second electrode.

7. The display device according to claim 6 , wherein the first electrode and the second electrode are respectively located on the same side of the first light emitting diode, the same side of the second light emitting diode, and the same side of the third light emitting diode.

The display device according to claim 3 , further comprising a third electrode, wherein the first electrode, the second electrode and the third electrode are disposed on the substrate, wherein the third electrode and the second electrode are electrically connected with each other, and the first light emitting diode, the second light emitting diode and the third light emitting diode are electrically connected with one another via the first electrode, the second electrode and the third electrode.

The display device according to claim 8 , further comprising an insulating layer disposed on the substrate, wherein the insulating layer is located among the first electrode, the second electrode and the third electrode, and the third electrode is electrically connected with the second electrode via a first contact opening disposed in the insulating layer.

The display device according to claim 8 , wherein the first light emitting diode and the third light emitting diode are respectively electrically connected with the first electrode; the second light emitting diode is electrically connected with the second electrode; and the first light emitting diode, the second light emitting diode and the third light emitting diode are respectively electrically connected with the third electrode.

The display device according to claim 10 , wherein the first electrode and the third electrode are located on two opposite sides of the first light emitting diode, the second electrode and the third electrode are located on two opposite sides of the second light emitting diode, and the first electrode and the third electrode are located on two opposite sides of the third light emitting diode.

12. The display device according to claim 8 , wherein the first electrode is electrically connected with the transistor via a second contact opening.

The display device according to claim 8 , wherein the capacitor comprises an upper electrode and a lower electrode, and the transistor comprises a gate electrode, a gate insulating layer, a channel layer, a source electrode and a drain electrode, wherein the upper electrode, the source electrode and the drain electrode belong to one film layer while the lower electrode and the gate electrode belong to another film layer.

14. A display device, comprising:

a substrate;

a transistor disposed on the substrate;

a light emitting unit disposed on the substrate, wherein the light emitting unit comprises a plurality of light emitting diodes;

a first electrode in physical contact with and electrically connected to the plurality of light emitting diodes; and

a second electrode in physical contact with and electrically connected to the plurality of light emitting diodes,

wherein the light emitting diodes are electrically connected with the transistor, and at least two of the light emitting diodes are connected in parallel.

15. The display device according to claim 14 , wherein the light emitting diodes comprise a first light emitting diode, a second light emitting diode and a third light emitting diode, and the first light emitting diode and the second light emitting diode are connected in parallel.

16. The display device according to claim 15 , wherein the third light emitting diode is connected in parallel or in series with the first light emitting diode and the second light emitting diode.

17. The display device according to claim 15 , wherein the light emitting diodes further comprise a fourth light emitting diode that is connected in parallel with the third light emitting diode, and the first light emitting diode and the second light emitting diode that are connected in parallel and the fourth light emitting diode and the third light emitting diode that are connected in parallel are connected in series.
