BOOK OF BUSINESS IMPACT ASSESSMENT ENGINE
A heuristic business impact engine includes capabilities to collect an unstructured data set and a current business context to predict future business outcomes based on past business activity. Providing a heuristic algorithm, executing the algorithm within the engine with the data set and the context may allow determination of predicted future business action. Such heuristic algorithms may learn from past data transactions and appropriate correlations with events and available data.
1 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:
determining, with a computer processor, that a customer has initiated a transaction associated with a potential interest rate change;
retrieving, with the computer processor, an unstructured transaction set associated with a plurality of customers, wherein the unstructured transaction set:
includes an aggregated behavior list indicating offered credit interest rate data, and
correlates previous transactions with one or more previous changes to a book of business;
generating, with the computer processor, a predicted impact of the potential interest rate change on the book of business, by executing a heuristic algorithm based on the potential interest rate change and the unstructured transaction set;
determining, with the computer processor, an actual change in the book of business based at least partly on input of the customer, received with a human-machine interface, in response to an offer of the potential interest rate change; and
training, with the computer processor, the heuristic algorithm using machine learning, wherein the training is based at least partly on the predicted impact of the potential interest rate change on the book of business and the actual change in the book of business.
2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the book of business includes the plurality of customers for a financial product.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more previous changes includes cancellation of products.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the predicted impact of the potential interest rate change on the book of business includes a loss of at least one customer.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the computer processor retrieves the unstructured transaction set from an external transaction server.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the computer processor accesses the heuristic algorithm from an external heuristic server, and trains the heuristic algorithm in the external heuristic server.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the input of the customer received with the human-machine interface comprises an electronic representation of spoken words.
8 . A computer system comprising one or more processors configured to:
determine that a customer has initiated a transaction associated with a potential interest rate change;
retrieve an unstructured transaction set associated with a plurality of customers, wherein the unstructured transaction set:
includes an aggregated behavior list indicating offered credit interest rate data, and
correlates previous transactions with one or more previous changes to a book of business;
generate a predicted impact of the potential interest rate change on the book of business, by executing a heuristic algorithm based on the potential interest rate change and the unstructured transaction set;
determine an actual change in the book of business based at least partly on input of the customer, received with a human-machine interface, in response to an offer of the potential interest rate change; and
train the heuristic algorithm, using machine learning, based at least partly on the predicted impact of the potential interest rate change on the book of business and the actual change in the book of business.
9 . The computer system of claim 8 , wherein the book of business includes the plurality of customers for a financial product.
10 . The computer system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more previous changes includes cancellation of products.
11 . The computer system of claim 8 , wherein the predicted impact of the potential interest rate change on the book of business includes a loss of at least one customer.
12 . The computer system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are configured to retrieve the unstructured transaction set from an external transaction server.
13 . The computer system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are configured to access the heuristic algorithm from an external heuristic server and to train the heuristic algorithm in the external heuristic server.
14 . A non-transitory computer readable medium, comprising computer readable instructions that, when executed by a computer processor, cause the computer processor to:
determine that a customer has initiated a transaction associated with a potential interest rate change;
retrieve an unstructured transaction set associated with a plurality of customers, wherein the unstructured transaction set:
includes an aggregated behavior list indicating offered credit interest rate data, and
correlates previous transactions with one or more previous changes to a book of business;
generate a predicted impact of the potential interest rate change on the book of business, by executing a heuristic algorithm based on the potential interest rate change and the unstructured transaction set;
determine an actual change in the book of business based at least partly on input of the customer, received with a human-machine interface, in response to an offer of the potential interest rate change; and
train the heuristic algorithm, using machine learning, based at least partly on the predicted impact of the potential interest rate change on the book of business and the actual change in the book of business.
15 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the book of business includes the plurality of customers for a financial product.
16 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the one or more previous changes includes cancellation of products.
17 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the predicted impact of the potential interest rate change on the book of business includes a loss of at least one customer.
18 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the computer readable instructions cause the computer processor to retrieve the unstructured transaction set from an external transaction server.
19 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the computer readable instructions cause the computer processor to access the heuristic algorithm from an external heuristic server and to train the heuristic algorithm in the external heuristic server.
20 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the input of the customer received with the human-machine interface comprises an electronic representation of spoken words.
