AUTHORIZING RADIO REQUENCY TRANSACTIONS USING A VASCULAR SCAN
A method for registering biometric information for use in a transponder-reader system is disclosed. The method includes steps of detecting, verifying and storing a proffered biometric sample. During detecting, a sensor detects a proffered biometric to obtain a biometric sample. During the verifying step, the biometric sample is compared with other stored samples and/or other information. During the storing step, the biometric sample is stored on a database, for use by the transponder-reader system in authorizing transactions.
1 . A method for authorizing a Radio Frequency (RF) transaction, by an authorized sampler receiver (ASR) for transaction authorization, using transaction biometric sample data, the method comprising:
receiving, by the ASR, a transaction request that includes a transaction biometric sample data from an RF device to enable a purchase;
comparing, by the ASR, proffered biometric sample data with a stored biometric sample data;
confirming, by the ASR, authenticity of the transaction biometric sample data;
retrieving, by the ASR, account data from the database associated with the transaction biometric sample data;
authorizing, by the ASR, the transaction biometric sample data to activate an account associated with the transaction biometric sample data;
sending, by the ASR, the account data that includes the account associated with the transaction biometric sample data to be selected to the RF device;
receiving, by the ASR, a selection of the account associated with the transaction biometric sample data;
authorizing, by the ASR, the transaction request in response to a selection of the account; and
deactivating, by the ASR, the ASR in response to receiving an invalid biometric sample data more than a predefined number of times.
