Abstract

A non-contact power reception apparatus is provided, in which a power reception coil for a charging system and a loop antenna for an electronic settlement system are mounted on a battery pack and a cover case of a portable terminal such that the power reception coil is arranged in the center thereof and the loop antenna is disposed outside the power reception coil, so that a mode of receiving a wireless power signal and a mode of transmitting and receiving data are selectively performed, thereby preventing interference from harmonic components and enabling non-contact charging and electronic settlement using a single portable terminal. A jig for fabricating a core to be mounted to the non-contact power reception apparatus is provided.

Claims (14)

1. A portable terminal comprising:

a common module configured to operate in a first operation mode which enables the portable terminal to receive a wireless power signal from a non-contact power transmission apparatus via a first wound wire;

the common module configured to operate in a second operation mode which enables the portable terminal to process a wireless data transmission or reception via a second wound wire, wherein the first and second wound wires are arranged such that the second wound wire loops outside the first wound wire;

a battery cell which is rechargeable and supplies an electric energy to components in the portable terminal;

a data processor connected to the common module to process the data;

a rectification block which rectifies the wireless power signal; and

a charging control block which controls a charging of the battery cell.

2. The portable terminal of claim 1 , wherein the second operation mode is disabled when the portable terminal operates in the first operation mode.

3. The portable terminal of claim 1 , wherein the first and the second wound wires are arranged on the same plane.

4. The portable terminal of claim 1 , wherein the first and the second wound wires are positioned at a same side of the battery cell and are positioned in parallel with the battery cell.

5. The portable terminal of claim 1 , wherein the first wound wire is a power reception coil for receiving the wireless power signal and the second wound wire is a communication antenna for processing the wireless data transmission or reception.

6. The portable terminal of claim 5 , wherein the communication antenna is used for an electronic payment based on the data transmission or reception with an external electronic device, and the data includes information related to the electronic payment.

7. The portable terminal of claim 5 , wherein the power reception coil is connected to the rectification block.

8. The portable terminal of claim 5 , wherein the power reception coil is a circular shape made with a thin metal wire.
