Arc welding control method
There is provided an arc welding control method of performing a forward/reverse feeding control of alternating a feeding rate of a welding wire between a forward feeding period and a reverse feeding period, and generating short-circuiting periods and arc periods to perform welding. The welding wire is fed forwardly at a time of staring the welding. The forward/reverse feeding control is started from the reverse feeding period of the welding wire after starting conduction of a welding current.
1. An arc welding control method of performing a forward/reverse feeding control of alternating a feeding rate of a welding wire between a forward feeding period and a reverse feeding period, and generating short-circuiting periods and arc periods to perform welding, the arc welding control method comprising:
feeding the welding wire forwardly at a time of starting the welding; and
starting the forward/reverse feeding control from the reverse feeding period of the welding wire at a time when 1 to 10 ms have elapsed from a start of conduction of a welding current.
2. An arc welding control method of performing a forward/reverse feeding control of alternating a feeding rate of a welding wire between a forward feeding period and a reverse feeding period, and generating short-circuiting periods and arc periods to perform welding, the arc welding control method comprising:
feeding the welding wire forwardly at a time of starting the welding, and starting the forward/reverse feeding control from the reverse feeding period of the welding wire after starting conduction of a welding current;
during a transient welding period until convergence to a steady welding period, setting a waveform parameter of the feeding rate to a value different from that during the steady welding period; and
starting the steady welding period from the reverse feeding period.
3. The arc welding control method according to claim 2 ,
wherein a push-side feeding motor for performing a forward feeding control is provided in addition to a pull-side feeding motor for performing the forward/reverse feeding control, and the push-side feeding motor accelerates with an inclination during the transient welding period after starting conduction of the welding current.
