SHAVING RAZOR ACCESSORY
Shaving razors and cartridges are featured which include one or more removably attachable shaving aid accessories.
1 . A shaving razor comprising:
a handle,
a shaving cartridge, having a plurality of blades, mounted on the handle, and
a shaving accessory removably mounted on the handle by a magnetic attachment.
2 . The shaving razor of claim 1 , wherein the accessory is dimensioned to fit around the shaving cartridge.
3 . The shaving razor of claim 1 , wherein the shaving accessory is removably attached to the shaving razor by engagement of one or more ferrous elements with one or more magnets.
4 . The shaving razor of claim 3 , wherein the ferrous elements are disposed on the accessory and the magnets are disposed on the handle.
5 . The shaving razor of claim 1 , wherein the shaving accessory includes a shaving aid element configured to contact a user's skin while shaving.
6 . The shaving razor of claim 5 , wherein the shaving accessory comprises a body defining an aperture configured to receive the cartridge, and the shaving aid is disposed on a surface of the body.
7 . The shaving razor of claim 6 wherein the razor further comprises at least one magnet mounted on the handle for removable engagement with a corresponding surface of the body.
8 . The shaving razor of claim 7 , wherein the surface of the body is configured to allow the accessory to pivot relative to the handle.
9 . The shaving razor of claim 7 , wherein the surface is arcuate.
10 . The shaving razor of claim 7 , wherein the surface comprises a ferric material.
11 . The shaving razor accessory of claim 10 , wherein the body is composed entirely of a ferric material.
12 . The shaving accessory of claim 10 , wherein a portion of the body is coated with a ferric material.
13 . The shaving accessory of claim 10 , wherein the body includes a frame and ferrous elements mounted on the frame.
14 . The shaving razor of claim 1 , wherein the shaving aid element includes a shaving aid.
15 . The shaving razor of claim 14 , wherein the shaving aid has exfoliating characteristics.
16 . The shaving razor of claim 14 , wherein the shaving aid has lubricating characteristics.
17 . The shaving razor of claim 14 , wherein the shaving aid has moisturizing characteristics.
18 . The shaving razor of claim 14 , wherein the shaving aid has lathering characteristics.
19 . The shaving razor of claim 5 , wherein the shaving aid element is in the form of a generally oval ring.
20 . The shaving razor of claim 5 , wherein the shaving aid is in the form of a plurality of discrete elements.
21 . The shaving razor of claim 3 wherein the razor includes at least two magnets and two ferrous elements.
22 . The shaving razor of claim 1 , wherein the shaving accessory is attached to the handle by a flexible band.
