Abstract

The present invention provides a medicine containing a Toll-like receptor agonist, LAG-3 protein, a variant or derivative thereof.

Claims (14)

1. A method for treating cancer in a patient, comprising administering to the patient

Poly I:C or a salt thereof;

a fusion protein of lymphocyte activation gene 3 (LAG-3) protein and IgG; and

at least one cancer-antigen derived peptide.

2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein two or more cancer-antigen derived peptides are administered.

3. A method for inducing a specific immune response to a cancer cell in a patient in need thereof, comprising administering to the patient

Poly I:C or a salt thereof;

a fusion protein of lymphocyte activation gene 3 (LAG-3) protein and IgG; and

at least one cancer-antigen derived peptide; and wherein said specific immune response is (i) CD4+ and/or CD8+ T-cell proliferation, (ii) interferon-gamma, GM-CSF, interleukin-4 (IL-4), IL-5, and/or IL-17A production, (iii) CD4+ and/or CD8+ T-cell infiltration in tumor tissue, and/or (iv) PD-1, LAG-3, and/or TIGIT downregulation in CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells.

4. The method according to claim 3 , wherein two or more cancer-antigen derived peptides are administered.

5. The method of claim 3 , wherein said specific immune response is CD4+ and/or CD8+ T-cell proliferation.

6. The method of claim 3 , wherein said specific immune response is interferon-gamma, GM-CSF, IL-4, IL-5, and/or IL-17A production.

7. The method of claim 3 , wherein said specific immune response is CD4+ and/or CD8+ T-cell infiltration in tumor tissue.

8. The method of claim 3 , wherein said specific immune response is PD-1, LAG-3, and/or TIGIT downregulation in CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells.
