Abstract

In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for performing a synchronization of data. These mechanisms and methods for performing a synchronization of data can enable a more efficient synchronization, time and resource savings, an enhanced user experience, etc.

Claims (37)

1. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having computer instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a computer system, cause operations comprising:

receiving, from an application running on a user device, an application data request;

subsequent to receiving the application data request, detecting a loss of connection to the user device;

storing changes to application data corresponding to the user device;

detecting a connection to the user device; and

performing a synchronization of data with the application comprising sending the changes to the application data to the user device, wherein the synchronization is performed in response to an event other than a user of the user device logging into the application, and wherein the synchronization is performed while the application is running on the user device.

2. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein operations further comprise receiving, prior to receiving the application data request, an indication that the user has successfully logged into the application.

3. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the changes to the application data comprise all application data that has changed since a previous synchronization with the application.

4. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the synchronization comprises sending all application data associated with the user to the user device.

5. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the synchronization comprises sending, to the user device, an indication that changes to the application data exist.

6. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the synchronization is performed in response to an indication that the application is running on the user device.

7. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the synchronization is performed at a predetermined interval.

8. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein performing the synchronization comprises determining that the changes to the application data have been made since a previous synchronization with the application.

9. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein performing the synchronization comprises receiving, from the application, a request to perform the synchronization.

10. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the application data comprises account information for the user.

11. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the application data comprises object data, detail data, metadata, or any combination thereof.

12. A method, comprising:

receiving, by a system from an application running on a user device, an application data request;

detecting, by the system subsequent to receiving the application data request, a loss of connection to the user device;

storing, by the system, changes to application data corresponding to the user device;

detecting, by the system, a connection to the user device; and

performing, by the system, a synchronization of data with the application comprising sending the changes to the application data to the user device, wherein the synchronization is performed in response to an event other than a user of the user device logging into the application, and wherein the synchronization is performed in response to an indication that the application is running on the user device.

13. The method of claim 12 , further comprising, in response to receiving the application data request, determining that the application data request corresponds to subscriber of a service provided by the system.

14. The method of claim 12 , further comprising receiving, prior to receiving the application data request, an indication that the user has successfully logged into the application.

15. The method of claim 12 , wherein the changes to the application data comprise all application data that has changed since a previous synchronization with the application.

16. The method of claim 12 , wherein performing the synchronization comprises receiving, from the application, a request to perform the synchronization.

17. A system, comprising:

a processor; and

a memory that includes one or more stored sequences of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause a computer system that includes the processor to carry out operations comprising:

receiving, from an application running on a user device, an application data request;

detecting, subsequent to receiving the application data request, a loss of connection to the user device;

storing changes to application data corresponding to the user device;

detecting a connection to the user device; and

performing a synchronization of data with the application comprising sending the changes to the application data to the user device, wherein the synchronization is performed in response to an event other than a user of the user device logging into the application, and wherein the synchronization is performed in response to an indication that the application is running on the user device.

18. The system of claim 17 , wherein the operations further comprise receiving, prior to receiving the application data request, an indication that the user has successfully logged into the application.

19. The system of claim 17 , wherein the synchronization is performed at a predetermined interval.

20. The system of claim 17 , wherein performing the synchronization comprises determining that the changes to the application data have been made since a previous synchronization with the application.
