SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES, AND METHODS FOR FACILITATING INVENTORY TRANSACTIONS
Disclosed are systems, methods, and devices for managing a personal user inventory. In one embodiment, the method comprises retrieving a plurality of e-mail messages associated with a plurality of users; parsing the plurality of e-mail messages to identify a set of merchandise items present within the plurality of e-mail messages; associating the set of merchandise items with the users in an item database; receiving an inventory search from one of the plurality of users, the inventory search including properties of items stored within the item database; identifying a set of candidate users from the plurality of users responsive to the inventory search; and transmitting a purchase request to at least one of the candidate users, the purchase request including an identification of an item associated with the at least one of the candidate users.
1 . A method comprising:
retrieving a plurality of e-mail messages associated with a plurality of users;
parsing the plurality of e-mail messages to identify a set of merchandise items present within the plurality of e-mail messages;
associating the set of merchandise items with the users in an item database;
receiving an inventory search from one of the plurality of users, the inventory search including properties of items stored within the item database;
identifying a set of candidate users from the plurality of users responsive to the inventory search; and
transmitting a purchase request to at least one of the candidate users, the purchase request including an identification of an item associated with the at least one of the candidate users.
2 . The method of claim 1 wherein the properties of items comprise one of brand name, item name, SKU number, and price.
3 . The method of claim 1 wherein identifying a set of candidate users from the plurality of users responsive to the inventory search comprises identifying a set of candidate users similar to the user submitting the inventory search.
4 . The method of claim 1 wherein the purchase request includes a bid.
5 . The method of claim 1 further comprising:
receiving a sell request from a selling user of the plurality of users, the sell request including an item stored in the item database and associated with the selling user;
authenticating the sell request, wherein authenticating the sell request comprises determining that the item in the sell request corresponds to a purchase receipt associated with the selling user; and
listing the item in the sell request for sale upon authenticating the sell request.
6 . The method of claim 5 wherein authenticating the sell request further comprises one or more of:
confirming the selling user has not returned the item in the sell request;
confirming that the item in the sell request was delivered to the selling user;
measuring the selling user's purchase velocity;
analyze the selling user's purchase history; or
determining the location of the selling user.
7 . The method of claim 5 further comprising identifying one or more purchasers of the item in the sell request by determining whether the item in the sell request is in a wishlist associated with one or more users.
8 . The method of claim 1 further comprising:
displaying a plurality of products;
receiving configuration parameters for a product of the plurality of products;
adding the product to a shopping cart based on the configuration parameters;
simulating a purchase of the product; and
adding the product to the item database upon successfully simulating the purchase of the product.
9 . The method of claim 8 wherein simulating a purchase of the product comprises:
loading a script associated with a merchant selling the product; and
executing the script on a merchant webpage.
10 . The method of claim 9 wherein the script comprises a series of steps simulating a user browser session.
11 . An apparatus comprising:
one or more processors; and
a non-transitory memory storing computer-executable instructions therein that, when executed by the processor, cause the apparatus to perform the operations of:
retrieving a plurality of e-mail messages associated with a plurality of users;
parsing the plurality of e-mail messages to identify a set of merchandise items present within the plurality of e-mail messages;
associating the set of merchandise items with the users in an item database;
receiving an inventory search from one of the plurality of users, the inventory search including properties of items stored within the item database;
identifying a set of candidate users from the plurality of users responsive to the inventory search; and
transmitting a purchase request to at least one of the candidate users, the purchase request including an identification of an item associated with the at least one of the candidate users.
12 . The apparatus of claim 11 wherein the properties of items comprise one of brand name, item name, SKU number, and price.
13 . The apparatus of claim 11 wherein identifying a set of candidate users from the plurality of users responsive to the inventory search comprises identifying a set of candidate users similar to the user submitting the inventory search.
14 . The apparatus of claim 11 wherein the purchase request includes a bid.
15 . The apparatus of claim 11 wherein the instructions further cause the apparatus to perform the operations of:
receiving a sell request from a selling user of the plurality of users, the sell request including an item stored in the item database and associated with the selling user;
authenticating the sell request, wherein authenticating the sell request comprises determining that the item in the sell request corresponds to a purchase receipt associated with the selling user; and
listing the item in the sell request for sale upon authenticating the sell request.
16 . The apparatus of claim 15 wherein authenticating the sell request further comprises one or more of:
confirming the selling user has not returned the item in the sell request;
confirming that the item in the sell request was delivered to the selling user;
measuring the selling user's purchase velocity;
analyze the selling user's purchase history; or
determining the location of the selling user.
17 . The apparatus of claim 15 wherein the instructions further cause the apparatus to perform the operation of identifying one or more purchasers of the item in the sell request by determining whether the item in the sell request is in a wishlist associated with one or more users.
18 . The apparatus of claim 11 wherein the instructions further cause the apparatus to perform the operations of:
displaying a plurality of products;
receiving configuration parameters for a product of the plurality of products;
adding the product to a shopping cart based on the configuration parameters;
simulating a purchase of the product; and
adding the product to the item database upon successfully simulating the purchase of the product.
19 . The apparatus of claim 18 wherein simulating a purchase of the product comprises:
loading a script associated with a merchant selling the product; and
executing the script on a merchant webpage.
20 . The apparatus of claim 19 wherein the script comprises a series of steps simulating a user browser session.
