Abstract

A wireless device receives message(s) comprising configuration parameters for a logical channel in a plurality of logical channels. The configuration parameters indicate a mapping restriction of the logical channel to radio resource type(s) in a plurality of radio resource types. An uplink grant in a plurality of received uplink grants indicates radio resources for a radio resource type in the plurality of radio resource types. The plurality of uplink grants are grouped into grouped grants based on the plurality of radio resource types. A first grouped grant in the grouped grants comprises a first plurality of uplink grants each indicating a same first radio resource type. Radio resources are allocated, indicated by the first grouped grant, to first logical channel(s) mapped to the first radio resource type. Transport blocks corresponding to the first plurality of uplink grants are generated and transmitted.

Claims (53)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, configuration parameters indicating:

a mapping restriction indicating that a first logical channel is mapped to an unlicensed radio resource type and a licensed radio resource type; and

a prioritized bit rate of the first logical channel;

receiving-a plurality of uplink grants;

grouping the plurality of uplink grants into:

a first grouped grant comprising a first plurality of uplink grants licensed radio resource type; and

a second grouped grant comprising a second plurality of uplink grants of the licensed radio resource type;

allocating first unlicensed radio resources within the first grouped grant to the first logical channel;

allocating second licensed radio resources within the second grouped grant to the first logical channel based on a difference between the allocated first unlicensed radio resources and the prioritized bit rate of the first logical channel;

generating a plurality of transport blocks corresponding to the first grouped grant and the second grouped grant; and

transmitting the plurality of transport blocks.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration parameters further indicate:

a second mapping restriction indicating that a second logical channel is mapped to the licensed radio resource type; and

a second prioritized bit rate of the second logical channel.

3. The method of claim 2 , further comprising:

allocating third licensed radio resources within the second grouped grant to the second logical channel based on the second prioritized bit rate of the second logical channel; and

allocating fourth licensed radio resources within the second grouped grant to the second logical channel; and

wherein the third licensed radio resources are prioritized with respect to the second licensed radio resources, and the second licensed radio resources are prioritized with respect to the fourth licensed radio resources.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the mapping restriction is based, at least in part, on one or more quality of service (QoS) requirements of the first logical channel.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein a QoS requirement is based on a latency requirement of the first logical channel.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein a capacity of the first grouped grant is equal to a sum of capacities of the first plurality of uplink grants.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the allocating first unlicensed radio resources and the allocating second licensed radio resources comprises employing a logical channel prioritization (LCP) procedure.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the first logical channel is configured with a priority.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the first logical channel is included in a plurality of logical channels, and the LCP procedure employs the priority and the prioritized bit rate of each of the plurality of logical channels.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein when the difference between the allocated first unlicensed radio resources and the prioritized bit rate of the first logical channel is zero, the allocating of the second licensed radio resources consists of allocating no radio resources within the second grouped grant.

11. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

non-transitory memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive configuration parameters indicating:

a mapping restriction indicating that a first logical channel is mapped to an unlicensed radio resource type and a licensed radio resource type; and

a prioritized bit rate of the first logical channel;

receive a plurality of uplink grants;

group the plurality of uplink grants into:

a first grouped grant comprising a first plurality of uplink grants of the unlicensed radio resource type; and

a second grouped grant comprising a second plurality of uplink grants of the licensed radio resource type; allocate first unlicensed radio resources within the first grouped grant to the first logical channel;

allocate second licensed radio resources within the second grouped grant to the first logical channel based on a difference between the allocated first unlicensed radio resources and the prioritized bit rate of the first logical channel;

generate a plurality of transport blocks corresponding to the first grouped grant and the second grouped grant; and

transmit the plurality of transport blocks.

12. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the configuration parameters further indicate:

a second mapping restriction indicating that a second logical channel is mapped to licensed radio resource type; and

a second prioritized bit rate of the second logical channel.

13. The wireless device of claim 12 , further comprising:

allocating third licensed radio resources within the second grouped grant to the second logical channel based on the second prioritized bit rate of the second logical channel; and

allocating fourth licensed radio resources within the second grouped grant to the second logical channel; and

wherein the third licensed radio resources are prioritized with respect to the second licensed radio resources, and the second licensed radio resources are prioritized with respect to the fourth licensed radio resources.

14. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the mapping restriction is based, at least in part, on one or more quality of service (QoS) requirements of the first logical channel.

15. The wireless device of claim 14 , wherein a QoS requirement is based on a latency requirement of the first logical channel.

16. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein a capacity of the first grouped grant is equal to a sum of capacities of the first plurality of uplink grants.

17. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein one or more of the allocating first unlicensed radio resources and the allocating second licensed radio resources comprises employing a logical channel prioritization (LCP) procedure.

18. The wireless device of claim 17 , wherein the first logical channel is configured with a priority.

19. The wireless device of claim 18 , wherein the first logical channel is included in a plurality of logical channels, and the LCP procedure employs the priority and the prioritized bit rate of the first logical channel.

20. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein when the difference between the allocated first unlicensed radio resources and the prioritized bit rate of the first logical channel is zero, the allocating of the second licensed radio resources consists of allocating no radio resources within the second grouped grant.
