Medicament delivery device comprising a locking mechanism having a lever

1. A medicament delivery device, comprising:

a guard movable between a proximal position and a distal position, wherein the guard comprises at least two distally directed tongues, wherein each of the at least two distally directed tongues includes a proximal end directly attached to the guard and a distal free end extending away from the guard in a distal direction;

an actuation locking member; and

a locking mechanism comprising a lever, wherein a distal end of the lever comprises a transversally extending ledge that restricts movement of the actuation locking member until the guard is positioned in the distal position, and wherein a proximal end of the lever restricts movement of the guard in the proximal position after actuation.

2. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 ,

wherein the at least two distally directed tongues are integral with a distal end of the guard.

3. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 , further comprising:

a medicament container holder arranged within the guard.

4. The medicament delivery device of claim 3 ,

wherein the actuation locking member surrounds the medicament container holder.

5. The medicament delivery device of claim 3 ,

wherein the medicament container holder comprises the lever.

6. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 ,

wherein the lever comprises a see-saw.

7. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 ,

wherein the lever comprises a beam.

8. The medicament delivery device of claim 7 ,

wherein the beam comprises a longitudinally extending beam.

9. The medicament delivery device of claim 7 ,

wherein the beam is connected to a medicament container.

10. The medicament delivery device of claim 9 ,

wherein the beam is connected to a middle portion of the medicament container.

11. The medicament delivery device of claim 10 ,

wherein the beam is connected to the medicament container by a first pivoting arm and a second pivoting arm.

12. The medicament delivery device of claim 10 ,

wherein the at least two distally directed tongues of the guard comprise a first tongue and a second tongue,

wherein the first tongue is positioned on a first side of the beam and the second tongue is positioned on a second side of the beam.

13. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 ,

wherein the lever is formed integrally with a medicament container holder.

14. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 ,

wherein the actuation locking member comprises a ring-shaped member.

15. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 ,

wherein the actuation locking member comprises a sleeve-shaped member.

16. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 ,

wherein the actuation locking member is positioned distally in relation to the lever.

17. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 ,

wherein the actuation locking member comprises a tongue.

18. The medicament delivery device of claim 17 ,

wherein the tongue of the actuation locking member is arranged in line with the lever.

19. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 ,

wherein the actuation locking member comprises an extending arm.

20. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 , wherein the lever restricts at least one of movement of the guard when the lever is pivoting in response to a force on a distal portion of the lever and movement of the actuation locking member when substantially no force acts on the lever.

21. The medicament delivery device of claim 1 , wherein the actuation locking member comprises at least one proximally extending tongue, and wherein the at least one proximally extending tongue is positioned distal to and aligned with the lever when the guard is in the proximal position.
