Abstract

User equipment (UE) may receive broadcast information with bits that indicate a respective time interval that physical shared channel resources are utilized to signal channels. The UE may monitor the signaled channels in indicated time intervals. The UE may determine whether signaling information for the UE is present based on an identification of the UE.

Claims (18)

1. A user equipment (UE) comprising:

a receiver, the receiver configured to receive broadcast information including a plurality of bits, wherein each of the plurality of bits indicates a respective time interval that physical shared channel resources are utilized to signal channels; and

a processor, the processor communicatively coupled to the receiver and configured to monitor the signaled channels in indicated time intervals, to determine whether signaling information for the UE is present based on an identification of the UE, and to process the signaling information in response to the determination that signaling information for the UE is present.

2. The UE of claim 1 , wherein the respective time interval or each indicated time interval is part of a shared frame that is allocated by a network device.

3. The UE of claim 1 , wherein the broadcast information is received on a broadcast channel.

4. The UE of claim 1 , wherein the respective time interval or each indicated time interval is two or more timeslots.

5. The UE claim 1 , wherein the UE powers down radio circuitry outside of the indicated time intervals.

6. The UE of claim 1 , wherein the identification of the UE is assigned by a network device to decode the signaling information.

7. A method performed by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:

receiving, by the UE, broadcast information including a plurality of bits, wherein each of the plurality of bits indicates a respective time interval that physical shared channel resources are utilized to signal channels;

monitoring, by the UE, the signaled channels in indicated time intervals;

determining, by the UE, whether signaling information for the UE is present based on an identification of the UE; and

processing, by the UE, the signaling information in response to the determination that signaling information for the UE is present.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the respective time interval or each indicated time interval is part of a shared frame that is allocated by a network device.

9. The method of claim 7 , wherein the broadcast information is received on a broadcast channel.

10. The method of claim 7 , wherein the respective time interval or each indicated time interval is two or more timeslots.

11. The method claim 7 , wherein the UE powers down radio circuitry outside of the indicated time intervals.

12. The method of claim 7 , wherein the identification of the UE is assigned by a network device to decode the signaling information.
