Abstract

A cooling device includes a cover, a trough connected to the cover, and a fan circulating air that is received from sides of the cooling device. The area above the fan is enclosed by the cover. The cooling device also includes a pump for delivering liquid to one or more pads located in the trough. The cooling device also includes a sensor that controls operating of the fan and the pump.

Claims (58)

1. A cooling device, comprising:

a cover;

a trough connected to the cover;

a fan located between the cover and the trough;

multiple located within the trough,

wherein,

each of the multiple brackets has a first leg and a second leg,

wherein the first leg is attached to a first plate and a second plate,

wherein the first leg of each of the multiple brackets is closer to the fan than:

 a front edge of the first plate, and

 a front edge of the second plate,

 wherein the front edge of the first plate and the front edge of the second plate do not connect with the first leg of each of the multiple brackets;

piping sections,

wherein, the piping sections are placed within grooves located on a top edge of the first plate and the second plate; and

multiple pads,

wherein the multiple pads are located entirely below the piping sections.

2. The cooling device of claim 1 , wherein each of the multiple brackets include a top part that connects to the first leg and the second leg, wherein the piping sections are below the top part of each of the multiple brackets.

3. The cooling device of claim 1 , wherein none of the multiple brackets connect to each other.

4. A cooling device, comprising:

an axial fan,

wherein the axial fan is located above an open region;

a cover,

wherein the axial fan is located below the cover

a trough, wherein:

the trough is located around the axial fan;

multiple located within the trough,

wherein,

each of the multiple brackets has a first leg and a second leg,

wherein the first leg is attached to a first plate and a second plate,

wherein the first leg of each of the multiple brackets is closer to the fan than:

 a front edge of the first plate, and

 a front edge of the second plate,

 wherein the front edge of the first plate and the front edge of the second plate do not connect with the first leg of each of the multiple brackets;

piping sections,

wherein each of the piping sections is perpendicular to the first plate and the second plate attached to each of the multiple brackets,

wherein the piping sections are connected to each other at a location between the first plate and the second plate attached to each of the multiple brackets without any of the piping sections touching the first leg; and

multiple pads, wherein each of the multiple pads are located entirely below the piping sections.

5. The cooling device of claim 4 , wherein none of the multiple brackets connect to each other and wherein the first plate and the second plate are attached to the first leg of each of the brackets at an angle less than 90 degrees.

6. The cooling device of claim 4 , wherein each of the multiple pads is located within an area of the trough that is between the first plate and the second plate of the bracket.

7. The cooling device of claim 6 , wherein each of the piping sections, located above a corresponding one of the multiple pads, are parallel to a top surface of each of the multiple pads.

8. The cooling device of claim 5 , wherein a top part connects to the first leg and the second leg of each of the multiple brackets, and wherein the top part is located between the first plate and the second plate connected to each of the first legs of each of the multiple brackets.

9. A cooling device, comprising:

a cover;

a trough connected to the cover;

piping sections;

multiple pads, wherein each of the multiple pads are located below the piping sections;

an axial fan located between the cover and the trough;

wherein an open region is provided below the fan without any part of the trough directly below blades of the axial fan;

multiple located within the trough,

wherein,

each of the multiple brackets has a first leg and a second leg,

wherein the first leg is attached to a first plate and a second plate,

 wherein the first leg of each of the multiple brackets is closer to the fan than:

 a front edge of the first plate, and

 a front edge of the second plate,

 wherein the front edge of the first plate and the front edge of the second plate do not connect with the first leg of each of the multiple brackets.

10. The cooling device of claim 9 , further comprising:

a sensor.
