Abstract

A wireless device receives RRC message(s) with configuration parameters comprising a deactivation timer value for a deactivation timer of a cell. The deactivation timer starts in response to receiving a MAC CE that indicates activation of the cell. A first DCI comprising a first field indicating an uplink resource block assignment, and a first trigger field indicating that the first DCI is triggered in response to a second trigger. The deactivation timer restarts in response to receiving the first DCI. The second DCI comprises: a second trigger field indicating the second trigger, and a second field indicating a subframe offset value. The deactivation timer restarts in response to receiving the second DCI via a common search space. Transport blocks are transmitted, in response to the second trigger, employing the uplink resource block assignment of a subframe having a position determined based on the subframe offset value.

Claims (64)

1. A method comprising;

receiving, by a wireless device, at least one radio resource control (RRC) message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells, the configuration parameters comprising a deactivation timer value for a deactivation timer of a secondary cell of the plurality of cells;

receiving a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating activation of the secondary cell;

starting the deactivation timer of the secondary cell in response to receiving the MAC CE;

receiving a first downlink control information (DCI) comprising:

a first field indicating an uplink resource block assignment; and

a first trigger field indicating that the first DCI is triggered in response to a second trigger of a second DCI;

restarting the deactivation timer of the secondary cell in response to receiving the first DCI;

receiving, via a common search space of a control channel, the second DCI comprising:

a second trigger field indicating the second trigger; and

a second field indicating a subframe offset value;

restarting the deactivation timer of the secondary cell in response to receiving the second DCI; and

transmitting, in response to the second trigger, one or more transport blocks employing the uplink resource block assignment of a subframe, wherein a position of the subframe is determined based on the subframe offset value.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the secondary cell is a licensed assisted access (LAA) cell.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second DCI further comprises a third field indicating a subframe format.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first DCI comprises a second field indicating a time interval during which the second DCI is received.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the plurality of cells comprise a second cell; and

the at least one RRC message indicates that the second cell carries scheduling information for the secondary cell.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising deactivating the secondary cell in response to the deactivation timer expiring.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first DCI further indicates a modulation and coding scheme for transmission of the one or more transport blocks.

8. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors;

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive at least one radio resource control (RRC) message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells, the configuration parameters comprising a deactivation timer value for a deactivation timer of a secondary cell of the plurality of cells;

receive a media access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating activation of the secondary cell;

start the deactivation timer of the secondary cell in response to receiving the MAC CE;

receive a first downlink control information (DCI) comprising:

a first filed indicating an uplink resource block assignment; and

a first trigger field indicating that the first DCI is triggered in response to a second trigger of a second DCI;

restart the deactivation timer of the secondary cell in response to the receiving first DCI;

receive, via a common search space of a control channel, the second DCI comprising:

a second trigger field indicating the second trigger; and

a second field indicating a subframe offset value;

restart the deactivation timer of the secondary cell in response to receiving the second DCI; and

transmit, in response to the second trigger, one or more transport blocks via uplink resource block assignment of a subframe, wherein a position of the subframe is determined based on the subframe offset value.

9. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the secondary cell is a licensed assisted access (LAA) cell.

10. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the second DCI further comprises a third field indicating a subframe format.

11. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the first DCI comprises a second field indicating a time interval during which the second DCI is received.

12. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein:

the plurality of cells comprise a second cell; and

the at least one RRC message indicates that the second cell carries scheduling information for the secondary cell.

13. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to deactivate the secondary cell in response to the deactivation timer expiring.

14. The wireless device of claim 8 , the first DCI further indicates a modulation and coding scheme for transmission of the one or more transport blocks.

15. A method comprising;

transmitting, by a base station, at least one radio resource control (RRC) message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells, the configuration parameters comprising a deactivation timer value for a deactivation timer of a secondary cell of the plurality of cells;

transmitting a media access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating activation of the secondary cell;

starting the deactivation timer of the secondary cell in response to transmitting the MAC CE;

transmitting a first downlink control information (DCI) comprising:

a first filed indicating an uplink resource block assignment; and

a first trigger field indicating that the first DCI is triggered in response to a second trigger of a second DCI;

restarting the deactivation timer of the secondary cell in response to transmitting the first DCI;

transmitting, via a common search space of a control channel, the second DCI comprising:

a second trigger field indicating the second trigger; and

a second field indicating a subframe offset value;

restarting the deactivation timer of the secondary cell in response to transmitting the second DCI; and
