Abstract

Implementations described and claimed herein provide a personal tactical system configured to be worn by an individual for protection against threats. In one implementation, the personal tactical system includes one or more internal components disposed in an interior formed by an outer layer and an inner layer. The internal components include a flexible body armor, a ballistic plate, a ballistic frame, and/or a ballistic plate cover. The ballistic frame further includes an electrical system coupled to the frame body, the electrical system including one or more ports in communication with at least one of electrical or communication lines.

Claims (28)

1. A tactical system comprising:

a frame body comprising:

a bottom edge disposed opposite a top edge,

a set of side edges extending linearly from the bottom edge,

a set of tapered edges connecting the set of side edges to the top edge, the set of tapered edges, the set of side edges, the top edge, and the bottom edge forming a peripheral edge of a frame body sized and shaped for receipt into a pocket formed by a first side of a protective vest exposed to an outside environment and a second side facing inwardly, the frame body configured to provide independent structural support to the protective vest,

an opening defined through the frame body;

a pin adapter comprising a base and a pin installable through the opening of the frame body;

an electrical system comprising a cable one or more ports in communication with at least one of electrical or communication lines; and

a pin receiver coupled to an end of the cable, the pin receiver configured to receive the pin of the pin adapter to couple the electrical system to the frame body.

2. The tactical system of claim 1 , wherein the electrical system includes a communications routing system.

3. The tactical system of claim 1 , wherein the electrical system is routed about a periphery of the frame body.

4. The tactical system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more ports are adapted to at least one of supply power or communicate data to and from equipment coupled to the one or more ports.

5. The tactical system of claim 1 , wherein the electrical system comprises a multi-port hub including the one or more ports.

6. The tactical system of claim 5 , wherein the multi-port hub is a communication hub.

7. The tactical system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more ports are adapted to be connected to an external antenna.

8. The tactical system of claim 1 , wherein the electrical system includes an integrated antenna.

9. The tactical system of claim 1 , wherein the electrical system includes an integrated magnetic induction loop.

10. A tactical system comprising:

a frame body extending between a peripheral edge, the peripheral edge formed by a set of side edges connecting a top edge to a bottom edge, the peripheral edge defining a size and a shape of the frame body mirroring a coverage area, the frame body receivable into an interior formed by a first side exposed to an outside environment and a second side facing inwardly, the interior disposed relative to the coverage area, an opening defined through the frame body the frame body configured to provide independent structural support to the first side and the second side; and

a pin adapter comprising installable through the opening of the frame body;

an electrical system comprising a cable and one or more ports in communication with at least one of electrical or communication lines; and

a pin receiver coupled the cable, the pin receiver configured to receive the pin adapter to couple the electrical system to the frame body.

11. The tactical system of claim 10 further comprising at least one of a protective vest, backpack, or load carriage platform, wherein the frame body is integrated into the at least one the protective vest, backpack, or load carriage platform.

12. The tactical system of claim 10 , wherein the electrical system includes a communications routing system.

13. The tactical system of claim 10 , wherein the electrical system comprises a multi-port hub including the one or more ports, the multi-port hub being one of a communication-hub.

14. The tactical system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more ports are adapted to be connected to an external antenna.

15. The tactical system of claim 10 , wherein the electrical system at least one of includes an integrated antenna.

16. The tactical system of claim 10 , wherein the electrical system includes an integrated magnetic induction loop.
