Abstract

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media configured to create, process, and/or modify images are provided. Recipient image data associated with an original image captured by a second computing system can be received by a first computing system. A first intermediate image may be generated based on the recipient image data. A first viewable image for display on the first computing system may be generated based on the first intermediate image.

Claims (33)

1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:

receiving, by a computing system, recipient image data associated with an original image captured by a sender computing system;

generating, by the computing system, an intermediate image based on the recipient image data, the generating the intermediate image comprising decoding the recipient image data based on a format that is determined based on at least one of device information related to the sender computing system or a recipient computing system; and

providing, by the computing system, the intermediate image to the recipient computing system for generating a viewable image for display on the recipient computing system.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising generating the intermediate image according to instructions from the sender computing system.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the original image is captured by the sender computing system according to the format.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the sender computing system and the recipient computing system are client devices.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one of device information related to the sender computing system and device information related to the recipient computing device is received by the computing system.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 5 , wherein the computing system is a server.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the generating the intermediate image comprises:

decrypting the recipient image data to generate decrypted image data; and

decoding, based on the format, the decrypted image data to create the intermediate image.

8. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein blur associated with the viewable image is less than blur associated with the original image.

9. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the intermediate image has a first resolution and the viewable image has a second resolution.

10. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the intermediate image has a first color format and the viewable image has a second color format.

11. A system comprising:

at least one processor; and

a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to perform:

receiving recipient image data associated with an original image captured by a sender computing system;

generating an intermediate image based on the recipient image data, the generating the intermediate image comprising decoding the recipient image data based on a format that is determined based on at least one of device information related to the sender computing system or a recipient computing system; and

providing the intermediate image to the recipient computing system for generating a viewable image for display on the recipient computing system.

12. The system of claim 11 , wherein the instructions further cause the system to perform generating the intermediate image according to instructions from the sender computing system.

13. The system of claim 11 , wherein the original image is captured by the sender computing system according to the format.

14. The system of claim 11 , wherein the sender computing system and the recipient computing system are client devices.

15. The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one of device information related to the sender computing system and device information related to the recipient computing device is received by the system.

16. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform a method comprising:

receiving recipient image data associated with an original image captured by a sender computing system;

generating an intermediate image based on the recipient image data, the generating the intermediate image comprising decoding the recipient image data based on a format that is determined based on at least one of device information related to the sender computing system or a recipient computing system; and

providing the intermediate image to the recipient computing system for generating a viewable image for display on the recipient computing system.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the method further comprises generating the intermediate image according to instructions from the sender computing system.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the original image is captured by the sender computing system according to the format.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the sender computing system and the recipient computing system are client devices.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the at least one of device information related to the sender computing system and device information related to the recipient computing device is received by the computing system.
