Controls and Interfaces for User Interactions in Virtual Spaces

1 . A method comprising, by a computing system:

sending information configured to render a virtual room on a display device associated with a user, wherein the virtual room comprises a representation of the first user;

receiving an input from the first user selecting a content item;

sending information configured to render the content item as a virtual object in the virtual space;

receiving a modification input from the first user to modify the content item;

causing the content item to be modified;

receiving a share input from the first user to share the modified content item on an online content-sharing network; and

causing the modified content item to be shared on the online content-sharing network.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the content item is a photo.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the content item is a video.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the content item is a document.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the modification input comprises a doodle input performed with a virtual tool, and wherein the modified content item comprises a doodle associated with the doodle input.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the virtual room further comprises a representation of a second user, further comprising:

sending information configured to modify the content item based on a modification input of the second user.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the computing system comprises a remote server.

8 . One or more computer-readable non-transitory storage media embodying software that is operable when executed to:

send information configured to render a virtual room on a display device associated with a user, wherein the virtual room comprises a representation of the first user;

receive an input from the first user selecting a content item;

send information configured to render the content item as a virtual object in the virtual space;

receive a modification input from the first user to modify the content item;

cause the content item to be modified;

receive a share input from the first user to share the modified content item on an online content-sharing network; and

cause the modified content item to be shared on the online content-sharing network.

9 . The media of claim 8 , wherein the content item is a photo.

10 . The media of claim 8 , wherein the content item is a video.

11 . The media of claim 8 , wherein the content item is a document.

12 . The media of claim 8 , wherein the modification input comprises a doodle input performed with a virtual tool, and wherein the modified content item comprises a doodle associated with the doodle input.

13 . The media of claim 8 , wherein the virtual room further comprises a representation of a second user, and wherein the software is further operable when executed to:

send information configured to modify the content item based on a modification input of the second user.

14 . The media of claim 8 , wherein the software is executed at least in part at a remote server.

15 . A system comprising: one or more processors; and a non-transitory memory coupled to the processors comprising instructions executable by the processors, the processors operable when executing the instructions to:

send information configured to render a virtual room on a display device associated with a user, wherein the virtual room comprises a representation of the first user;

receive an input from the first user selecting a content item;

send information configured to render the content item as a virtual object in the virtual space;

receive a modification input from the first user to modify the content item;

cause the content item to be modified;

receive a share input from the first user to share the modified content item on an online content-sharing network; and

cause the modified content item to be shared on the online content-sharing network.

16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the content item is a photo.

17 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the content item is a video.

18 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the content item is a document.

19 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the modification input comprises a doodle input performed with a virtual tool, and wherein the modified content item comprises a doodle associated with the doodle input.

20 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the virtual room further comprises a representation of a second user, and wherein the processors are further operable when executing the instructions to:

send information configured to modify the content item based on a modification input of the second user.
